18:20 Say what you will about Zaid Magenta as a person, but if there's something positive I have to say about him is that he at least didn't do that BS of hating on Chris Pratt as Mario for using his normal voice yet praising Charlie Day as Luigi despite him also using his normal voice. On the one hand, I can sort of understand why many people weren't too on board with Chris Pratt's take on Mario. Charles Martinet had been voicing Mario for well over two decades by that point, so to hear Mario not only have a drastically different voice but to have him sound just like Chris Pratt with the slightest hint of an accent IS pretty off-putting. However, it's not as understandable when people praise Charlie Day's Luigi despite Charlie doing the exact same thing people hated Chris Pratt doing with Mario, and like Mario, Luigi had been voiced by Martinet by well over two decades by that time. And yet people praise it because it "fits". So because it "fits" Charlie is allowed to not sound anything like Luigi or just use his normal speaking voice? Hell, I heard more of an accent with Chris Pratt as Mario than I did with Charlie Day as Luigi, and that's not saying much. Do y'all want the goddamn accents or nah for crying out loud? On the subject of Charles Martinet: many people said that Martinet should've voiced Mario in the movie. Do I agree with that? Yes, absolutely. However, there's also the fact that he would also have to voice Luigi. As uncanny as hearing Chris Pratt's voice come out of Mario's mouth _sounds,_ I think it would've been even more uncanny if Mario sounded like his game counterpart while Luigi had the most generic American voice possible.
I have to disagree where Zaid said Justin Timberlake is not a good voice actor. He may have been being himself in Trolls but he was incredible as Boo Boo in The Yogi Bear film
Yes! Thank you my friend! Seriously, what the hell is wrong with the movie industry these days. Same thing happened in Scoob, and now Chicken Run 2. I could honestly care less about the voice actors reputation (unless I grow to love them. For example I can't imagine anyone else voicing Anna & Elsa) Ps Samuel Vincent is the only Krypto the Superdog for me
Spider man into the spider verse proved to us that you do not need a bunch of super duper famous A list actors for your movie to be a hit! So why can’t other animation studios strive to do the same thing? It’s not far that there are so many talented men and women out there yet it seems they can never get their big break because studios only care about what names would sell the most tickets and that thought process has messed up a lot of potentially great movies? Like would it have killed illumination to bring back Charles martinet to reprise the bros or for the uncharted movie to have Someone like Nathan fillion as Nate instead of someone like Tom Holland? Also the fact that people like ray chase and Erica lindbeck are only known by gamers and duh watchers such as myself
I’m very against star casting. I’d only do star casting if it WORKED! Like how acting should work. Imagine a remake of “A year without a Santa Clause” (an odd example but it works) Everyone else would definitely be casted from musical theater, people who can both sing and act and who are generally unknown with in the industry. The star casting (in my opinion) would be Tom Kenny as Snow Miser and Danny DeVito as Heat Miser. I don’t know if that’ll be a controversial choice but it’s my choice. Star casting has definitely worked in the past with Shrek and Aladdin, but when films are crammed with stars that have already done way too many roles, it gets annoying. I suggest only have one to two star cast per minimum, everyone else can be experimental with whoever random person play them. I hope my example isn’t too controversial.

And one of the guinea pugs voice by the same pony aka person who voice Sonic The Hedgehogs is freaking mind blowing if you ask me because my love of Rise of the tmnt (teenage mutant ninja turtles) and Sonic The Hedgehog. Yeah, call me foal all you want, but because of my autism, i love hearing *puts his hoof behind his pony ear* voice from different TV shows on movies that i once-in-a-blue-moon go to see with my earth pony friend who comes to visit me and my brother, Chevy man 30-30 the unicorn.
His crazy take on Toy Story 4 alone killed what’s otherwise a decent video for me. 😵💫 Don’t give a fuck what y’all say btw. ✌️ Toy Story 4 is awesome.
What take on Toy Story 4? He only criticized the film star casting Jordan Peele, Keegan Michael Key and Keanu Reeves. And I heard Toy Story 4 has it's flaws

At least Frank Welker go to reprise Scooby-Doo in Scoob.
And Scott McNeill is a better Ace Bat-Hound than Kevin Hart.

First mario, & now garfield. I love chris pratt, but do they really think he should voice every freakin' cartoon character?!🤦🏻
he's just using his regular voice for garfield
Tbf he isn’t the worst pick for Garfield.
Imagine in the Sonic movie instead of Ben Schwartz as Sonic they casted Leonardo DiCaprio.
