Bogotá, COLOMBIA

Bogotá is a sprawling, high-altitude city and the capital of Colombia. In the Candelaria (cobblestone city center) there are monuments from the colonial era such as the neoclassical Teatro Colón and the Church of San Francisco, which dates back to the 17th century. Bogotá is also home to popular museums, such as the Botero Museum, which hosts exhibitions of the works of Fernando Botero, and the Gold Museum, which displays pre-Columbian gold pieces.
