As we walked out of the Spider-Man 2 premier this song played during the credits...I remember stopping and wanting to freeze that moment...college life was so much better than adult life.
I don't know what it is, personally I didn't watch Spiderman 2 I'm pretty sure. But I remember this song, likely from a friend back then? when it was 2009 and I was only 11 years old, and life was simpler. I never imagined the passage of time would get me like this now that I am 24. It is truly powerfully nostalgic if I'm coming back to it & getting emotional when it's not even my usual genre of music haha Have a good life, stranger
This song didn’t mean near as much to me back then as it does now. I never would have imagined it would even mean anything to me now. But it does, and a lot.
Hom Tolland how was he a pedophile? He didn't actually do anything. He made a few, albeit tasteless, jokes more than a decade ago. You know what a joke is, right?
I was just thinking the same thing! Sitting in my friends' rooms listening to music, talking about school, worrying about homework and trying so hard to be "cool"... seems like forever ago.
I remember seeing Spider-man 2 when I was 5 back in 2004 and this song always stuck in my head. I'm 17 now, the movie was incredible and remains to this day as one of my favorites superhero movies of all time. This song perfectly describes Peter and his struggles in his life
Just reheard this song, after my late gf of 5 years died in a car crash (i always warned her). After about a year of heavy drinking im going to detox before i die. I feel like these lyrics couldve been the voice of god.
I've listened to music for years and I don't think there are many songs in existence that are as good as this one. It's not that it has some stellar lyrics or something.. everything just hits a perfect chord in me. It's motivating.. it's got me captivated..
Its actually a lot easier for your brain to remember a song (I'm not sure why but I would guess because it has a pattern to follow. The notes and the beat of the music). Maybe if you turned your biology terms into a song you could remember them better ;)
"And I am flawed, but I am cleaning up so well. I am seeing in me now the things you swore you saw yourself." - Favorite part. My favorite song right now...
just had an ex message and basically tell my i was right about a bunch of stuff and apologized. i immediately came here to sing/cry about being right. thanks for keeping the lyric video alive
Had a message from my ex too, a couple of months back, apologizing for the way she ended it 16 years back. I too came here, to reminisce, cause Spiderman 2 came out when we were together. :)
I've seen Spider-Man 2 about eight times, and only the last time did I let the credits roll long enough to catch this song. I had tears running down my face by the time it stopped playing. Holy shit. I'm never pulling a movie out early ever again.
I miss 2004. Chris Benoit was world heavyweight champion, I was younger, playing epic halo 2 split screen wars with three other friends from school, everyone played halo 2 back in the day. I miss those days
Growing up I called this the “Spider-Man” song and it was stuck in my head with no lyrics for 14 years. I woke up today with just a few lyrics & managed to find it 🥲 I can’t believe this nostalgia has been unlocked. This song has deep memories for me.
Listened to this song on my way to rehab. I cried so hard because it felt so personal, like every lyric was speaking on my journey into sobriety. I still tear up when I listen to it, even 46 days sober. I am flawed but I am cleaning up so well.

I ❤ this song!!! This song reminds me of when they were wrong and I was right because when half the people at work and my parents wouldn't believe me I knew I was telling the truth and they told me a lie because I was truly vindicated knowing now that I had every right to be angry at them for what did was wrong and I knew god would help me out, to also let me know that he's not mad at me because he still has hope for me anyway. My past is truly in the past and let it stay in the past. I had a bad start this year but now I'm turning this year around on a good note to have a happy ending. All the heartbreaks and disappointments I had I've moved on from that. This song is a good song for me because it helps. Again I ❤ this song!!! This is the best song since 2013!!! What a song. This is most definitely one of the most well written alt rock songs of all times. The lyrics are excellent & meaningful while filled with longing and yearning for more in ones life. Amazing.
***** Yeah, the sequel actually pulled the first movie even further into success. But the next one forced the trilogy into a deathtrap where it turned bad...
***** I actually blame the overload of characters that were introduced into it, especially with the early showing of Venom... Brock appearing was okay, but suddenly showing his alter ego so soon? Maybe later...
This song more than any freezes a moment in time that I always feel, remember, and will always want to go back to...that moment. This song is why I love this particular Spiderman movie over every other, because of the emotional impact of this song❤️
Heard this song in Spider-Man 2. Perfect song for the character. Nickel Back didn't get the character, just the image, with their "blah blah I'm a hero and shit".
***** Care to share with my why you don't approve of my opinion? Because just using harsh language doesn't help me understand what point you're trying to make. You obviously aren't an adult.
+maxtheaxeiswax Agreed, the angsty, softer tones of this song really captured the mood of the movie for me. This feels like a love song which fits well for Spider-Man 2's focus on the relationship between Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. Nickelback's song better captured the general theme of the first movie - the evolution of Peter Parker becoming the Spider-Man we know and love - however, that's not the main aspect of this movie's story which is how Peter's dual identity is deeply connected with the intimate relationships he has between his family and friends. Without a balance between them, these things can unravel quickly, tearing him apart (and even causing a psychological breakdown that can result in a loss of his powers). This song expresses that desire to be vindicated from that pain by managing both his responsibility to the people he loves, and the mask he wears to protect them and everyone else in the city as well.
I was 17 when this song was about being stubbornly fight back and realising you were wrong that you were different. Now I'm 35 and its a song about walking away with acceptance and hoping to not becoming like them. Vindicated. Gifts and Curses. There was a 3rd song. Anyone here from back then? ❤️

My heart beats differently when i hear this song. It's probably why i have it on repeat at 430am. Sometimes, my emo just shows. xo all who are here because they are feeling something, and this song has done a fantastic job explaining it for over a decade now.
This was the song i remember my nephew Robert Alexander Barajas by. He was like a son to me and was on his way to fix his life that had be plagued with a lot of problems until enough was enough and he took his own life less than a year ago. I love you Blobby, and I miss you and I know you've been watching over me and taking care of me and my problems. Thank you.
Few songs can trigger the waterworks like this one. My God, does time ever fly. I can't believe I'm as old as Peter Parker was in Spider-Man 2 now. Relish your youth, kids. Wring the most out of every single moment, because before you know it, sooner than you would prefer, they'll all be but faded, fuzzy memories to keep you warm on cold and lonely nights.
“You’re all grown up. How are you?”
“Trying to do better.”
Gah you got me. Exactly why I'm here.
That whole movie was amazing. I had a smile on my face the entire time.

My heart beats differently when i hear this song. It's probably why i have it on repeat at 430am. Sometimes, my emo just shows. xo all who are here because they are feeling something, and this song has done a fantastic job explaining it for over a decade now.

Soo 2004, good spiderman movie, good music! 2004 is the coolest
Mr brightside, find a way, breakeven, and vindicated just catch the essence of the early 2000’s.
This song still seems so fresh to me. 10 years ago but still gives me chills down my spine.
Anyone here 2024❤????
This was the song i remember my nephew Robert Alexander Barajas by. He was like a son to me and was on his way to fix his life that had be plagued with a lot of problems until enough was enough and he took his own life less than a year ago. I love you Blobby, and I miss you and I know you've been watching over me and taking care of me and my problems. Thank you.
:( I'm sorry
pizza time
Few songs can trigger the waterworks like this one.
Can't believe this was 10 years ago. Wow.
Cant believe your comment was 5 years ago
