What are your thoughts on SB19 and HORI7ON being the only Filipino artists invited to the Asia Artist Awards? 🤔 *Who else would you like to see there?*
Im a kpop fan and not a fan of Ppop SB19 before but now their quality of songs and talent are at par or vocally better.. Im a fan now and very proud of them. Lets support all Ppop! ❤
Yes I hope that with sb19’s success all the other Ppop groups will never give up and I hope there Will be a chance for Ppop groups to put together a concert abroad . Sb19 talked about that.
This is what I love about SB19, they keep on promoting Filipino culture and arts. Clear yung vision and goal nila. One thing also is organic yung growth nila, ppop was never a thing in PH 5 or 6 years ago but with the virality of SB19 slowly tinanggap ang PPOP sa pinas kahit hindi pa totally tanggap but malayo na ang narating ng ppop. Sa lahat ng natanggap nilang judgments and hates from their own countrymen hindi sila sumuko. Sabi nga ni Pablo "trust the process." Everything that they have right now ay nagmula sa zero support, yun ang nakakaproud ng sobra. Even the media humiliated and doubted them sa sarili nilang presscon. Hindi na nga engrande yung debut day nalait pa pero yung respect na nakukuha nila from big artist here in Ph ngayon, yung recognition from the ph legends deserve nila yun eh, they cemented their name in the industry. Kaya sila tinawag na PPOP Kings.
I am so proud of SB19 for representing the Philippines at AAA. They are increasingly gaining popularity among international fans and are slowly turning the tables around by having foreign artists dance to their songs like Gento and Crimzone, which helps promote PPOP globally. Sobrang nakaka proud talaga sila kasi ngayon, foreigners naman ang nag aaral ng tagalog just to be able to sing along to SB19's songs. ❤
You said it and someday they will be trailblazers and will manage and train Filipinos to follow in their footsteps. They are the only one for me; the only ones I travel to watch the last two years they have been coming to America.
We always support a Kpop group. Its about time to support our Filipino representative wether its SB19 or Hori7on the important thing is lets give our shots to support these 2groups that they're represent our country ❤ SB19 & Hori7on they're all Filipino. Let's unite & I hope we show our support for them. Lets be grateful on this & be proud of them as well. Go! SB19 & Hori7on! Mabuhay kayo!
SB19 kind of dancing is not robotic they have individual gracefulness and style yet syncronize themselves Thier choreo on dances has story not just just swag
This is exactly what people didn't know, SB19 started last 2016 managed and produced by showBT Philippines (subsidiary of ShowBT Group in Korea) established by a korean comedian "jung seong-han" reason for (S)how (B)T "SB19" and with a freedom to make music using english and filipino the "Tilaluha" and "Go Up" (their debut song and single from 2018-2019). Currently, they are self-managed under their own company the 1Z Entertainment. On the other hand, HORI7ON also signed a contract to MLD entertainment and ABS-CBN as a GLOBAL POP GROUP (might be dynamic with their music, can be J-pop, K-pop, P-pop depending on the music they make) with a tag of "all filipino boy group" (owned by filipino and korean companies hence, they represent both countries) likewise has the freedom to make music using languages they want "SIX7EEN", "Salamat" and "Mama" (from their debut album Friend-SHIP last July 24, 2023). Comparing them won't make any sense, both groups underwent the same type of rigorous training provided to K-pop idols. Hating them is you being an absolute deaf nor blind here. SB19 and HORI7ON represent the philippines with their own (unique) ways and talents. They have been accepted by numerous countries.
Just come across this vid. I agree, yup, coz these two groups have different path and market but both representing us. Kaya Anchors are very busy voting HORI for their brand reputation, recognition, promotion and endorsements, mas focus tayo don.
SB19 music is an evolved OPM. The sound, beat and heart of the song is a typical OPM. The dance and styling is a kpop inspired, but they give a twist and they own flavor with it
As a huge SB19 fan and OPM supporter, I think Alamat is one of the best groups that recently came out that best represent the diversified Pinoy culture. They def represent the different Juan's through the languages/dialects used in their music, diff traditional dances in their choreos, and the Filipino culture and the arts through their MV's. How I wish they would get more exposure and better promotion so Filipinos in the PH would get to know them. While it's great that both SB19 and Horizon are representing PH in the AAA (I suppose because the PH is hosting the event), I wish Southeast Asia or Asia would produce their own SEA/Asian artist award-giving body where all Asian countries are well-represented (perhaps similar to Europe's annual songwriting contest, Eurovision) and not call it 'Asia' but the nominees and awardees come from only one country.
malabo future ng Alamat... Yun Manager nila na Stuck sa OPM Vs. Ppop mentality....
@@tagalogstories4304 Ooh...I read that on X, really unfortunate. The group is truly unique and has a lot of potential. I hope their management would do something about it (maybe sack JP Laxamana if he's not a better fit for the group and get someone else to do the job?). It's difficult to pursue a vision if you do not share it with the people you work with.
@@tagalogstories4304 if that's true after ng contract nila lipat n lng sila 1Z 😂.... in this generation you have to go what in trend others wise un n nga mapag iiwanan ka. Like d naman idol group ang tawag sa sb mostly boy group.. idol group un ang term n gingamit ng korean which we don't use it here in the Philippines.
Training system is no problem because it's a form Of discipline as long as it does not become toxic. Thin lines between discipline and abuse. I like the way SB 19 handled their group because they acquired and fought for artistic freedom. They are too renegade for that sort of restriction. They are not controlled by management that tells them what they can and cannot sing unlike those bands created "band factories". And they reap the benefits and use it how they want it.
Buti pa yung mga bata they knew the difference of Kpop and Ppop, and they're proud and acknowledge that Ppop do their own thing and put efforts to promote 🇵🇭 😊😊😊😇 So, Stop crab mentality✋️✌️
Kaya let's focus and give our 100% support sa grupong sinusuportahan natin

I wonder kung ano ang itsura mo in person. Unang una hindi po sumikat ang SB19 because of their looks, sumikat sila because of their TALENTS, CREATIVITY AND CHARACTER. Kaya marami ang napapagod mag stan sa isang grupo e kasi nakakasawa if we only pay attention to the outward beauty. These kids are very articulated. Although some of them are Kpop fans, they are still open-minded about Ppop. I really love the girl who is wearing a white sweater and headband. She is a very good speaker. She didn't limit her thoughts for a certian topic. Kodus to all! ❤
Ang sb19 ay pilit kumawala sa brand na kpop dahil ang vision tlga nila ay to promote the Phillipines OPM and it's culture. They proved it thru the kind of songs they composed and produced that literally identified them as ppop; full blooded Filipinos waving the filipino flag. Im proud of you SB19. 👏👏👏
The girl in the white knitted sweater knows what she's talking about. This makes me emotional as a fan from 2019 because this is exactly where we wanted to steer the conversation even from that infancy stage. We've constantly talked about music being universal not just because Pablo mentions it like a million times. But also because most of us really do understand these things that they are talking about now. This type of conversation won't happen as well if SB19 didn't thrive to get themselves to a position where they are more respected, that's by collaborating with artists that kind of legitimizes their intention to bring OPM at the forefront of the world stage. Additionally, having more groups doing similar things kind of makes PPOP harder to ignore. With different concepts, different music styles, we can all find something that resonates with us. Anyway, thank you so much for this. Thank you for bringing this conversation to people who would otherwise dismiss it during its infancy and now all I can say is, they get it. They finally get it and that's because of our conversation efforts about it.
Im so proud of HORI7ON because for a 5-month old group, they accomplished a lot with their hard work. I hope more Filipinos support them in the future.
Exactly! If only the government supports the PPop industry. PH is recognized by the world as having talented singers pero bakit hindi mainstream like kpop.
Sb19 is a good example of ppop,😊😊they always getting better and their songs are relatable and inspirational 🙌 ,it's better to support our own pride and other groups..ppop rise PPOP🎉
More than anything else, im proud of these young Filipinos who's really embracing OPM. I'm an SB19 fan and hearing what they say makes me really very grateful. More than who these teenagers are idolizing they are not forgetting to give praise and give chances to OPM and Filipino artists. I MEAN LISTEN TO THEM. THEY ARE THE FUTURE AND THEY ARE RAISED WELL. ❤ Let's be proud to be Pinoy 🇵🇭
Ilang years na ang sb19 at marami sa mga pinoy ngayon palang sila kinikilala as worth to stan. Thank you for this video, EL. I love the responses you got.. So proud of you SB19!
I was a basher of SB19 before not until I watched all their performance, vids.. , their struggles, challenges, and their versatility is insane. They didn't give up chasing their dreams.. They can do all genre. Self manage group. They are the only group that captured my heart especially when I realized they compose their own songs and they promote Filipino culture 💙💙💙💙also support and have dreams for other PPOP groups.. They are not a copy of kpop simply because even KPOP they also have western influences, therefore all music and performances are inspiration of others as well. The only difference is KPOPS are widely supported by their people, government, have extensive training, funds, overall good support sytem by KOREA as a whole, they have unity.
SB19 are not trained in Korea but they are trained in the Philippines in a small Korean Entertainment based in the Philippines... But right now, SB19 already build their own company they called 1Z Entertainment...
SB19 earn their every fans, hindi superficial mag stan ang a'tin. Kaya kahit anong tira ng casual and hater sa pananamit at itsura ng boys noon, walang a'tin na natuturn off mas lalo pang binubuhos suporta.
Im so happy sa mga achievements ng MAHALIMA this past few months. After the successful PAGTATAG world tour, Billboard winnings, KZ Xperience concert, Watson Playlist, Dunkin Pop Campus, Stell as a TVG coach, Felip solo performace which represent Philippine in Singapore. Trending of GENTO in China, Korea, Japan and even worldwide. Now they are attending the said events with Hori7on. Plus, the Pagtatag World Tour: Asia, and SB19 represent Philippine in Korean Round Festival 2023 in Indonesia. I'm so happy for them, which is deserve naman talaga nila. After all the hardship for the past few years, it really paid off. As they are now starting to achieve their goal to Break into the International Music scene and World Domination. ❤ They even have more collaboration this year with Sarah G, KZ, Ben&Ben, Sandara Park, JVKE, and i think Stell and Jaime Miller has an upcoming collaboration which is really really great. ❤
I'm so happy for HORI7ON also because they also acknowledge SB19 as their Kuya's na dapat tularan and be inspired on how SB19 manage to become on top and unbother despite the harsh words from some basher.❤
This survey is way better than the last one I saw. They're more aware of sb19 and realized that Kpop is just one of their inspirations but not a copy cat. If they'll dig a bit more or at least watch 1 live performance in wish bus, they'll end up like me 😆
@justinejohntalastas5061 😂 kahit ako naquestion ang sarili.. ang daming foreign fans ng SB19 since a year or 2 na tas ako just this month lang, a big regret.
I love how these kids are open minded when it comes to Ppop and kpop. Understanding the difference between the two without giving negative comments. As a fan of both group i am very proud of these boys who are now representing The Philippines to the upcoming AAA.
Very interesting interview. I love how articulate and how open-minded these kabataan are. Very good, very good 👏 I really hope na madagdagan pa ng ilang Filipino Artist sa line up like Alamat and G22, Maymay, Sarah G or KZ.
Im just happy na compared sa naunang video ni El regarding SB19/PPOP, 90% ang nakakakilala or casual listeners na ng MAHALIMA. Proud of you my boys. Slowly but surely your ultimate goal na maipakilala ang OPM/PPOP sa world stage eh nagkakatotoo na💙
SB19 brought me back & love OPM again. My first time to stan a group & addictive with their music & performances. I love them so much. & I’m so proud of them!🫶
Hori7on deserves to be in the lineup of the AAA since they took first place in the pre-voting for the male singer category against a number of K-pop groups. They are invited because they are nominated, and also they are the first all-Filipino group to debut in Korea. Their debut album was included in the Korean charts at number 7 last week. They have performed in numerous Korean music shows and music festivals. They represent the country in kpop and global stage.
Actually what Hori7on is doing now is nothing special in the Kpop world. Really just ordinary. The competition is so darn hard and wide. Sa Pinoy lng na a-amaze kasi nga first all pinoy boy group. But if they are to penetrate kpop scene, medyo mahirap pa to reach the top because they dont have anything exceptional to offer to the table. On the other hand with SB19, theyre really doing something different. From their looks na very Pinoy, their dancing style na hindi yung halos lahat parehas, their LIVE singing and more, they are really making their own identity. No wonder they are starting to gain much much attention internationally (china, japan, usa, etc) kasi nga IBA. Not your typical boyband.
They are starting just like SB19, they also struggled a lot. Remember they are about to stop, luckily, Go Up became a miracle. So please give time for Hori7on. Yes Kpop industry is hard to penetrate but none of those famous groups now started easily. They all struggle from the beginning. They climbed the ladder to success. Horizon is doing their baby steps now.
@@abishruthwhat im only saying is that they have to do something DIFFERENT. Like really extraordinary. Koreans naturally do not accept other nationalities so easily. Wala namang bago sa ginagawa ng Hori7on. Just generic.
@@yasminuy6028 what Horizon is doing is the same thing as KPOP is doing. The genre of POP. What SB19 is doing is their own thing which is really more on makabayan and all. Sila yun and it's true that they have their own style which is admirable. Now, Horizon doesn't have to do the same. Because they were built to be a Global Pop group as for now, and may I remind you, they just debuted. Is that clear to you? And again AS FOR NOW, they are doing ung sabi mo nga walang something special because yes they are pattern to the normal Kpop standards. Ngaun kung feeling mo wala lang sila ngaun it's because nagu umpisa pa lang sila. I was there when SB19 is just starting, and ganun din, parang wala lang din. So as I have said earlier, give HORIZON a time. Wag kang atat. Given that they are named as Global Pop group, not Ppop and not Kpop. What pinuno Pablo can do, of course di pa alam ni Vinci. What Justin as the youngest can do, can't surely be done by Marcus na kaka 14 pa lang. In layman's term ang Hori7on marami pang kakaining bigas. So pwede bang sandall muna naman. Ang mga HORIZON torn between fighting for their dreams and fighting for their emotions. Ang saya nila to see dancing and singing but behind it all kinakin na sila ng anxiety disorders, emotional stress and all. The least people can do is to appreciate them kung hindi naman e Sana wag namang ung bini- bilittle kesyo ang bet nyong group e mas kakaiba.
Sana wag na po i-compare. Let's support both of them. Horizon is very new at mga bata pa sila. We should be proud of them especially they are from a survival show means they got what it takes. Just give them time to grow.

They are indeed a traiblazer in this industry, a movement indeed for Filipino music and culture. What Hori7on is doing is totally the opposite. Hahaha. It was not love at first SB19 song that's for sure. I listened to them close to 2 years before connecting with their music. IMO SB19 is K-pop inspired in their early works. These days I hear their OPM roots in their music (eg. musical choices, themes, sentiments, and chord progression). Their song structure is comfortably going in and out of K-pop and I believe they are still morphing and experimenting. I hear a more western leaning sound than K-pop tbh. I live in both the US and PI and have been a K-pop fan since the 2000s so I can recognize it. I just saw Felip in a PPCon vid and the shapes he was making while he was dancing and his stage attitude definitely not K-Pop, not "idol-esque". SB19 is P-pop more so now than 2 years ago and are artists coming into their own individually and as a group. As a representative of a new genre, I can only support where they are taking P-pop because in my personal opinion, it is a much needed shot in the arm for Filipino entertainment. Their scope of influence transcends the confines of Filipino music. Look, I don't even see a Jollibee Ad on my YT. I do not subscribe to TFC but somehow these guys got recommended to me by algorithms of multiple platforms. What I am saying is these guys pulled me back into listening to more Filipino music. These days, when I see the copycat comments I say to myself, "Ahh must be deaf." LOL But seriously such comments when I happen upon Filipinos making them, I find it quite vile.
Àgree. If you watch their early MV's ànd performances, there's a trace of Kpop.. the way they introduce themselves, the choreography, their packaging.. but in my opinion, there's little to nothing Kpop'ish even in their early songs. Go Up (Taglish) Tilaluha, Hanggang sa Huli.. are in Tagalog. And now that they are self-managed, they are now able to realize their dream of putting Phil music on the global market. I don't have tiktok or IG and it was also YT algo that introduced me to SB19 through WHAT? 😊

Hori7on is marketed NOT as a PPop Group but Global Pop. They trained and debuted in SKorea. Their songs are in Korean-and also English and Tagalog... Plus they all look and dress KPop... They are Filipino talents being molded to tap into the hugely established KPop market... Whereas the PPop market is still small but growing. Groups such as Alamat and SB19 are doing their best to divorce from the "KPop copycat' image and be identified as distinctly Filipino.
Mapa Gpop or Kpop man sila, basta Filipino support natin because they are representing the Philippines in the international stage. Do you know that u can support ur idols without pulling others down
There's nothing wrong because they have different path but Filipino in heart. Music is for everyone whatever genre they are into. They wil be globally known. Just support both groups.
This where the problem is - no one in the industry has carried Global Pop. Beatles who is big enough still carries British Identity as "British Invasion" over American Music Industry. BTS carries the Kpop music Industry. Unless the musician invaded multiple music charts - you can call yourself Global Pop - it is a misnomer representation. Big cultural influencers within the US has specific category for Latin Grammy Awards. Tbh, mahirap i-explain ang branding and it is up to fans to promote them as such. Tbh, it is the management who should be explaining this not fans. So the best thing you do promote your idols in a right way.
This is a pretty good focus group. Everybody seems neutral, open minded, and every single one of them remained objective when answering the questions. I don’t understand why others found offense in this.
SB19 are genuinely supportive and proud of PPOP now being known globally😊it doesn't matter who and where they were trained as long as you are pinoy by heart with your craft that's what is important💙knowing that they learn discipline and going after your dreams thru blood sweat and tears is a good example for not just pinoy kids but of all ages to dream big and put it into actions🔥⚠️🤙let's just support one another and be grateful and humble❣️#PPOPRISE🎉
these teenagers are smart! Finally, people are open-minded in terms of PPop. Based on their answers, SB19 made it! SB19 proved that they/we are not a copycat of KPop. 🇵🇭
They're just influenced and inspired by kpop. Ang music nila is a hybrid between kpop and opm and it's unique.

I really don't get the hate that this video is getting. For those anchors who are labeling this as a 'biased' vlog, at what point of the video tho? Drop the time stamp. I bet these people who got interviewed here are not even a'tin but most likely are casuals. If they knew SB19 but not H7N, what's so wrong with that? With the number of hit songs that esbi has, of course they'll at least sound familiar to the casuals. As for H7N, them being 'not yet' known shouldn't be taken as an insult but rather a motivation for both the fandom and the artist themselves. These two groups will be at the AAA, hence, this content is created. If you have a problem with some of the comments here, direct your hate to those commentators specifically, not on the channel itself. I commented on one of the past videos here where it's kinda similar to this one. Back then, the consensus was that PPop somehow lacks identity but this one shows almost the contrary. People are getting more accepting, and open-minded with Filipinos adopting the K-Idol system. That was such a huge leap so can we just focus on that fact over trivial things?
not really biased but kulang sa information. hindi naipaliwanag kung bakit invited sa AAA and what's AAA ba talaga. alam ba ng ininterview nya yun? pinaliwanag nya ba sa kanila? or just that it's an important award show and these 2 groups are invited, "yay representation"? dito kasi sa actual video, napaka vague ng explanation, it's like setting up a narrative, so it seems biased in an anchor perspective kahit hindi naman. the real problem is that, it seems kasi na uninformed opinions itong content. tapos dagdagan pa na yun comments puno ng basher na uninformed din. so yeah, partly to blame ang content creator for creating this fiasco.
@@sofia_calista hmmm sorry but I beg to disagree that most of their opinions are uninformed. Most of the people who got interviewed are kpop fans so AAA is nothing new to them. Maybe for the comments here, yes, there are indeed uninformed and baseless hate comments. But then again, it's beyond the creator's control. di ko rin gets young 'setting up a narrative' wdym? Besides, the last bit of this video is actually very fruitful tho. Like the fact that these people defended na walang mali sa k-idol training system na i-adopt sa Pinas. Isn't that a good thing? There's no hate directed towards H7N, their comments even gave a positive outlook of the path that H7N is currently taking. So sorry, I don't get the 'seems biased' based on the pov of anchors.
@@emm_18 i also said na hindi inexplain sa video mismo ang aaa which part of seemingly uninformed opinions. dapat tinanong nya if familiar sila sa aaa bc yan naman ang root nyang content nya di ba? filo representation sa aaa? ginawa ba? if yes, bakit di sinama sa video? dami ko ginamit na "seems" sa nauna kong comment. alam mo naman siguro ano ibig sabihin nun. also, yun narrative? the narrative that it was set up to make hori looked bad. view it this way, wala syang clip na nageexplain who the boys were para sa mga hindi sila kilala bc sa interview naman kung di mo kilala yung tinatanong sayo at kinukuhanan ka ng opinion about them, ieexplain dapat ng interviewer sino sila, para ung clip na ipapakita mo seems more informed. but hindi nya ginawa, tapos parang pinahapyawan lang towards the end then he went right to talking abt other ppop groups the interviewees like....so yeah, mukang biased sya, which i didnt agree as i said. and if u reread my comment, hindi ko sinabi na fact yung uninformed yung opinions but it might seems that way sa mga fans. you are watching while assuming they know bc they're kpop fans, but the ppl watching di alam kung ano yang aaa.. kita mo naman di ba? sala sala ang mga comment about "may mas deserving" daw and dapat madagdag pa ng ibang ppop group na isama. dun pa lang kita mo na na low info sila sa topic, so the video shouldve provided that information. and that's why gets ko bakit tingin nung ibang anchor, biased and may narrative ang video na to. kulang sya sa info.
All I can say is Kulang sa research ang mostly ng mga comments na negative about HORI7ON. First of all although their debut song is KOR-LISH majority of their songs in the Album are all English and Filipino. If that doesnt doesn't sound like their representing the Philippines then you know who the problem is... Album Physical Sales : Almost 60K circle chart. Sold out first fan Meeting at NFT(2 months after dreammaker). Held their first Concert at Araneta Coliseum(less than 2 months after debut, sold 70 plus percent of the tickets with a month of promotion and 3 weeks of ticket selling before concert). Will perform at AAA on Philippine arena. Nominated for First Place at SBS the show and took the second place. Stay pressed BARNACLES....😅 They did this in a span of less than a year of their career as a group.....
It does help that they came from a reality show so fan voted and it helps that they have the huge backing of a Korean company in Korea and abscbn here in the Philippines. It doesn’t say anything less about their talent or potential but without those factors Filipinos and other fans would not have supported them this fast and giving them the benefit of the doubt even if they were didn’t train that long. That is why they have a lot more to prove and a lot of people are waiting to see if they can break out of the cookie cutter kpop
I am an A’TIN and definitely not a basher of any group. I even stream silently H7N’s songs and MVs. To those Anchors who throw hateful words to our fandom because of this video, please stop assuming that the respondents are A’TIN. It’s obvious that they know SB19 more given that they’re almost 5 years in the industry. H7N is just starting to build their name and they will definitely get there as they continue to work hard in representing the PH in the global stage.
May mantra kasi na sinusunod na choose to be kind.
A'TIN here too and also watch H7 videos. Ganda rin sanang suportahan H7 since talented naman, charismatic din and syempre kasi Pinoy. Kaso may ibang fans talaga mamasamain kahit ano pang sabihin naten. May nagcomment about praising SB19 with all the qualities that person thinks SB19 has, kaso kasama ang no lip sync sa reasons nya, wala namang sinabing ibang fandom na kinukompara pero may bumanat agad sa visual and being authentic ng SB19, kaloka lang. The commenter was solely focused on SB tapos may hirit agad.
Sa mga fan ng Hori7on, if may maencounter kayo na "A'tin kuno" at nilalait ang mga bata, pls do not generalize the A'tin fandom. Lumalaki na yung fandom dahil sa upward trend ng pagsikat ng SB19 and maraming "fan kuno" would join the bandwagon. Being an A'tin since 2020 so far, puro peaceful and understanding mga nakikita ko na co-Atin sa mga comment sections not unless kantiin ng bashers ang mga boys which of course prompts us to defend them. Yung kabardagulan nyo dito could be a troll na trip pag-awayin ang mga fandom it could also be a possibility. And para sa mga co-Atin if meron mang pasaway, if you are a true A'tin remember than pinuno said always choose to be kind. Nilait at inalipusta ng husto ang SB19 nung nagsisimula pa lang and they fought hard to overcome that and alam yan ng lahat ng tunay na A'tin so stop comparing the kids to them and be supportive. I understand na yung iba was dismayed at how easily Hori7on was accepted samantalang dumaan sa butas ng karayom yung mga boys natin but please understand that is all in the past and that is part of their journey para mahulma sila at marating nila yung kinalalagyan nila ngayon. It is all part of God's plan. Since we know how hard it is for our boys na they had no support when they were starting out, we should extend our support sa Hori7on since they represent Filipinos din, isa pa bata pa yan sila. Who knows maybe someday, like SB19, e kumawala din sila sa korean management nila and will fully embody the Filipino aspects in all their performances sa international scene.
@kanao98 I edited my post kasi may line ako dun na parang throwing shade sa mga new fans but I did not mean it that way po ha. Of course most talaga ng nakikita kong new A'tin is mababait, mana sa mga amo natin. Pero I'm thinking lang of the possibility na may mga nahatak tayong immature fans, or some people na gustong idol nila lagi yung best so they would talk down on rival groups. Kasi all ages yung fandom natin. Buti sana if lahat ng fans eh sensible. For those na hindi, let's educate them na lang since bitbit din ng fandom yung names din ng mga iniidolo natin.
@kanao98 I am also guessing na yung ibang unconverted bashers ng SB19 e probably nakijoin sa mga anchors since matunog ngayon ang Hori7on and could possibly be the ones spouting these untasteful comments. Only time will tell if panandalian nga lang ba talaga ang ningning ng SB19, not them. On the positive note naman, at least they acknowledge na nagniningning at panahon ng boys natin ngayon.
Mapapa hays k nlng sa mga toxic trolls pretending to be an A'tin or anchors. Nagkakaruon ln tlga mg fanwars. Basta Ako. I support both of them. 😂

It is still sad that up to these days many Filipinos especially the new generation doesn't have much idea what SB19 's difference between other pop groups and what makes it even worse is, they've been compared to kpop as a copied artist. I am still hoping that one day their music and the message of every beat can bring harmonies to more Filipinos hearts and souls ( special thanks to those who've been believing SB19's talent back then)❤💛💚💯
Just because they are Filipino, you would expect them to like a certain group that is Filipino (no hate I'm also an A'tin). Most of them, who are interviewed here likes opm artists. Probably, they prefer an actual band, playing an actual instruments singing a genre they love listening to or, they are into solo artists. And sa napanuod ko naman, these teens are very open-minded when giving their opinions about the mentioned groups. They are also sensitive about the topic, I can sense it by how articulate they are as they answer every question. Anyways, my point being is, it's all about preferences. Dipende kung ano prefer nila na music genre na pakikinggan, but knowing that they recognize SB19 as a PPOP group that represents Filipino pop culture, it's a great sign that our mahalima is becoming a household name for most Filipinos.

She said why they listen to K-POP that no body in them understand the language. just because they look cute.? Sorry for K-pop fans. In her ears K-POP sounds the same. My daughter said that she like SB19 because of what she understand the song and it has so many genre. " I just said most people goes to the trend rather to know their own." but deep inside I am a proud mother that she knows to like her own.
I think Kpop is still more mainstream... and that is the reality.. the best we can do is to promote more and support sb19 and ppop more... We unfortunately cannot speed up... let the growth be natural ❤
Im very big SB19 fan and im a bit of a Hori7on supporter because theyre Filipinos. I still think they are representing the Philippines. When they were in Mexico, they mentioned theyre from Philippines and even sang in Tagalog in a radio show.... And Gento gaining some popularity in this region (latin america) when they read or hear the word Philippines it will spark interest and some will start to look up about the country... and then rest will follow. Some of us may not like Horizons way of doing things, but remember these are young people dreaming to make it big.. its still a step for our Filipino talents no matter what. Look at Ajaa, a Filipino group that debuted recently, 280k views yet you can already see comments from our neighboring country and even Latin America... this is probably (probably, meaning maybe, im just theorizing) one of the effect of Sb19's name going around that it trickles down to foreign people searching up more artists from Philippines....
With all due respect to those throwing hate/bashing HORI7ON, it has just been 2 months since HORI7ON debuted kaya very unreasonable na icompare sila sa ilang years old nang SB19.. and to clarify, HORI7ON can be labelled as a KPOP or PPOP since it is a GLOBAL pop group and they have released PURE FILIPINO and KOREAN song as well. I hope Filipinos who stan KPOP groups and PPOP will also support HORI7ON. The members just happened to be being handled by a Korean Company and trying their best to penetrate Kpop as a start while representing Filipino talents in the global stage. In short, be proud of these boys who are just trying to reach their dreams.

True and they are making waves in Japan, China ansd Sokor na ang hirap pasukin. for me the style the way they dress its just a kpop but the very good thing about sb19 they are all rounder and they created their songs. they are different from kpop though.
I don't think SB19's fashion is very kpop. I would say it's very trendy but doesn't mean their copying Kpop's fashion style. Naka-barong? But I definitely agree that SB19 has so much potential and great talent. Filipinos must support them

The dance and styling is a kpop inspired, but they give a twist and they own flavor with it
And the lyrics , the symbolism, the metaphors, the use of the Filipino language sometimes using deep Filipino words, the rhymes etc.
For me their dancing style now is so different since jay is their choreographer who is a leader of xb gensan na nakikipag compete internationally 😊
Exactly!

Buti pa yung mga bata they knew the difference of Kpop and Ppop, and they're proud and acknowledge that Ppop do their own thing and put efforts to promote 🇵🇭 😊😊😊😇
So, Stop crab mentality✋️✌️
SB19 will be the best representation of the Philippines
SB19 is 💯 different from Kpop SB19 are unique in many ways
Ang sb19 ay pilit kumawala sa brand na kpop dahil ang vision tlga nila ay to promote the Phillipines OPM and it's culture. They proved it thru the kind of songs they composed and produced that literally identified them as ppop; full blooded Filipinos waving the filipino flag. Im proud of you SB19. 👏👏👏
So proud of sb19💓 There is no stopping them iwagayway ang 🇵🇭. The undisputed kings of Ppop
SB19 will the best representation of the Philippines in AAA as PPOP, SB19 also invited to represent Philippines in KOREA ROUND TABLE, as filipino nakaka proud lang kc na unti unti ng narerecognized ang PPOP sa international thru SB19, salamat sa lahat ng mga filipino here and abroad na walang sawang nagmamahal at patuloy na sumusuporta sa kanila, higit sa lahat ang A'TIN na palaging nanjan at di iniiwan ang MAHALIMA, padayon mga kaps😊

Hori7on deserves to be in the lineup of the AAA since they took first place in the pre-voting for the male singer category against a number of K-pop groups.
They are invited because they are nominated, and also they are the first all-Filipino group to debut in Korea.

@@abishruthyoure wrong. First time i saw SB19, i really thought straight up na fheyre doing something new in the philippines.
This is exactly what they didn't know, sb19 started last 2016 managed by showBT Philippines established by a korean comedian "jung seong-han" but with a freedom to make music using english and filipino. On the other hand, HORI7ON also signed a contract to MLD entertainment and ABS-CBN as a GLOBAL POP GROUP with a tag of "all filipino boy group". Comparing them won't make any sense, hating them is you being an absolute deaf here. They both represent the philippines and have been accepted by numerous countries.

Im here just for SB19💙😊
I agree.
Thank you for that and for supporting sb19

@@emm_18yes for me ok nman ung Content its a Reaction of Casual

They did this in a span of less than a year of their career as a group.....

May mantra kasi na sinusunod na choose to be kind.
yes same I stream Mvs of HORI7ON also nakaka disappoint mga fans nila
It's time to enlighten these generations to support our own 1st ,we know that currently kpop was huge influence to our music industry.
HORI7ON ❤❤❤
Sa mga fan ng Hori7on, if may maencounter kayo na "A'tin kuno" at nilalait ang mga bata, pls do not generalize the A'tin fandom.
Theyr are all Filipinos representing our country globally. Mapa ppop kpop gpop na genre. Pareho din silng may dreams that's y we Stan them to support their dreams . Etc.
At Yung naiipit Minsan Yung fan na A'tin at the same time anchors din. I mean let just celebrate Filipino talents around the world Ppop man Sila o KPOp o jpop o pop in general. Ang Dami lang talaga toxic dto hahaha Ang bababaw ng mga utak maigi pa tong mga students na to Ang lalawak Ng isip which is good. ❤
