I don't live on St. Clair but still watch these every week. Getting me through the winter doldrums here in Indiana
Thank you for all the updates
That was a great report ! Thanks a ton for all the info. Tight lines .
thanks for the update on the ice i was a little worried that the ice would become unsafe
Thanks for the report. See you this weekend.
Going out tomorrow morning! Good luck as well if you haven’t gone yet!
Thanks John
Thank you John, I really appreciate you guys putting this information out there and helping people with the small options we have for public access on lake St. Clair 👍🏼👍🏼
GREAT information!!! Ive never been ice fishing but I've got the itch to get out there im a river rat and rarely fish LSC I've fished Selfridge before in late March but that's it. I just moved back to Detroit last yr and inquired about ice fishing charters last yr.... I don't have the equipment and figured that would be the best route.... This is extremely helpful now I just need to get hip to what the FIRST second and third lines are you are referring to💯
Someone went through the ice at Harley the other day so be careful for gas pockets in that area.
That was me that dropped in it was not a gas pocket the shore ice eroded verry fast went from 6 inches to 1 in a matter or hours
Ice should be as thick as it has been in at least 15 years. We've had snow on the ground for four weeks. Haven't seen that since I moved here.
Cotton rd is on fire from the road up to the salt river. Most guys fish it too deep. All they gotta do is move in 100-200 yards but for some reason everyone thinks you have to go wayyyyyy out😂
😂😂😂😂 this is funny to me
Where is cotton Rd I'm guessing LSC but where about
@@calvincarter5444 Google maps brotha
@@JimBowSlicewhy’s that funny?
@@calvincarter5444cotton rd is north of Selfridge about 1.5 miles. Only about 15 parking spots so you gotta get there early or launch from Selfridge
Any word on the reported thousands of gallons of sewage being dumped into Lake St. Clair via the Clinton River?
21,000 gallons dumped but it was stopped Wednesday night.
Hey John, just wanted to say thanks for all you do! I’m new to ice fishing haven’t caught anything yet been out once, gonna get on those beaded spoons and see if I can have a change of luck!
Lake flushes itself every 9 days. It’ll be ok there Nancy 😂😂😂
@@Joe-xm3fm Simply looking for info as I have heard that this happens somewhat regularly. Regardless of the lake flushing itself out, it can't be healthy.
21000 gallons an hour for an unknown amount of time was stopped.
Does anyone know if there’s open water by shore? My parents won’t let me go on the ice and I’m itching to go fishing.
There is 10-12+ inches at beacon cove as of Wednesday this week. This all before the ice break and that private marina. Plenty of safe ice without going far and still get on perch. Just stay away from the river mouth and you’re plenty good.
Unfortunately I'm thinking the only place for that would possibly be algonac or Detroit. Everywhere else is locked up with a foot of ice.
But, Clinton River might open up with the rain
Get out after em. There's no open water by shore. Just avoid any place with big current like the Clinton River or spillway.
@lyonmane2689 people fell through on the Clinton this week, Avoid it.
I have been to Metro two weeks in a row and didn't catch a single fish. Moved all over tried all different lures.
@@kevinlaughery9552 then you don't move enough or use the right lure
I hear at least a mile and a half out from everybody.
@@joebacarella2829 you go a mile and half out now you may end up in open water
Where is metro park?
End of 16 mile rd
There was 3 feet of ice back in 2012 I think it was
Never
@@robnoxious7637yes there was, it was 2013
Where could I catch some Crappy?
No one gonna give up crappie spots
The private marines by genos
I really want to try out ice fishing but im scared of goin out on the ice i cant swim
Go to fairhaven there’s 12-18 inches of ice and you definitely won’t go through the ice so no need to worry about swimming
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Chris if you are saying what you are… just find a buddy who knows about ice fishing. You’ll save yourself a bunch of time
u should get out u deserve it. tell spence to hold the fort lol
Idk about y’all but I was limiting on walleyes by metro barely making 16-17inches. n
Not big ones
