I am glad i have found this at the perfect moment of a ghosting situation with someone i had a deep connection with, this song is perfect because i don't deny, i love the blood because he was an amazing guy and i will forever love him, i love his memory, his kindness, his essence, his inherent sadness, him. I guess this is like an ode, he was beautiful inside mostly. Thank you for keeping my head above water❤

Its totally messed up, agreed. But a lot of hozier's music has creepy undertones like this, and I think its storytelling and not his own perspective. See cherry wine - its a song about abuse but Hozier is clearly not an abusive person (imo at least haha)
