I think Maradona's goal against Juventus from inside the box must be the greatest free-kick ever. You see a lot of average players in this clip scoring fantastic goals, which shows that on a good day average players can do wonders from free kicks (of course, top players do it on good and bad days). But I don't think there's anyone in this list, not even the best ones, capable of doing what Maradona did that day. The Juventus defense line was about 5 m. close and Maradona had to wait for his team mate to pass the ball. And he was inside the box and on the side of it, which means that the there weren't many trajectories he could choose. Actually, I don't think there were trajectories at all. He created one. Watch it over and over and you'll see how Maradona's left foot re-wrote the laws of ballistics
