- Premier League chiefs have refused to drop the Black Lives Matter badge on club shirts, despite a growing backlash against the aims of the movement.
In recent days, the movement has attracted controversy and led to questions for Premier League chief executive Richard Masters.
Black Lives Matters leaders have posted their beliefs in defunding the police and overthrowing capitalism.
Broadcaster Jonny Gould said "it's like the lunatics have taken over the asylum, I just want my football back... I'm just sick and tired of culture wars being fought within football so clumsily".
He continued "Richard Masters almost threw away 140 years of a traditional apolitical past time... without doing any due diligence on Black Lives Matter".
Gould, who is also a director of the Aston Villa Supporters Trust added "they have made conflict where there was peace... I can't imagine a bigger mistake in the history of English football".

The teams are named after English towns and cities. The only connection to England as far as I can see.
