LOVE this album. One of the big reasons I love Loudness is that they were always far more than the stereotype of the hair-rock genre. Their outside work, including this and Munetaka Higuchi's solo work, show they had depth and range and it translated into a lot of richness and range in their music as a group.
Dream Castle is an awesome album. along with a lot of Akira's solo stuff you can see they both had a strong funk streak needing to get out.

Great post! Macula is one of my all time fave tunes. have you given a listen to Akira's more recent stuff? he's also a bitchin' bass player, course he plays all the instruments on most albums now. one of the very best musicians there is.
