Excellent breakdown! Other trade offs to consider: Value of dungeon artifacts received. Most end game players put no value on dragon 20 speed artifacts, so stopping at 2250 is the best choice. However midgame players may want to go to 2700 to get last chicken while trying for more speed gear.

I actually like this event. Many choices (lot of different souls!) and possible to grind if you have ressources saved and the time to do it.
This is probably one of the better events they've released in maybe the last year. It feels realistic and you can dump as much or as little into it and still get your fragments.

What's also nice about these training-based Path events is that energy costs are even lower once you have strong enough gear to use 5-star level 1 champs as campaign farmers and level them all the way to 6-star level 60. You can actually use any champ as a farmer in brutal campaign, because with strong enough sustain gear you can make any champ basically unkillable. Secondly, the overlapping Champ Chase event plus the 2x Ancients event will make it even easier, especially if you plan to pull a lot of shards.

Great analysis Saph, as always! :) I always worry I'm being inefficient by running dungeons without food. If I run food, often takes 5 times longer. I don't care whether Plarium runs dungeon divers or heroes path...what I care about is my time, so when they crank up the requirements, that's when I really think about quitting.

The path overlaps dragon and IG, no one was gonna farm it all in a dungeon, but it makes sense to do both those events solo farming and then the rest in campaign and brews
His math at the end assumes that you that you skip the dragon event. Which is weird because you're gonna need to do that anyways to get the fusion. Obviously doing a 5 man level 10 hard is gonna be less efficient for points then doing level 10 hard as a 2 man with 3 food. until 2250 OBV
I dont get the final conclussion. If I run dragon 20 to fragments with food and then training in campaign to fragments. The training points I get from dragon should be subtracted from the points needed in campaign right?
seph is looking at both events in isolation. as long as you have to do both dragon and heroes path for the fragments it is mor efficient to solo dragon until you got the fragments/points you want. after that switch to campaign.
Thanks Saph very helpful will now switch from 20 with food once finished with the dragon 2250. I think this is one of the best path events as it feels like you can actually choose what you are willing to grind for. I am planning the 15 frags and probably the Cardiel soul as mine is currently 2 star then I will see how much I can get after.

The fact that we will have a champion chase makes it better. Spending the shards on basicly food and a hope of getting something good makes it so much better than if didn't have the chase. I'll jump from dragon to campaign. Maybe not the most efficient way, but whatever. I also have a lot of potions and enough chicken to not do any campaign runs, but that would be just stupid
This event looked great when i saw it this morning. Its about half the energy of the alatreon because of the DD addition and its overall less points at 97k vs 115k alatreon or whatever ridiculous number it was lol Def going for 5* soul + cupid and venus souls as i just rebuilt them for hydra during free regear
Saph, when comparing dragon farming vs campaign you only consider the lover path results. You should add the 2kish energy needed to complete the dragon tournament aswell so both strategy gets to the same end result. If you need the dragon fragments going XP farming dragon up untill you get them is the way to go
Thank you for the helpful video. Just a side note: I pretty much drown in mystery shards, but I don't think farming nightmare 12-6 will be more TIME efficient than 12-3 brutal because the runs on brutal are so much faster if you use one solo farmer and 3 food for the average player.
i'm doing dragon with food for the 2250 dragon points, then pushing the training once the Chase drops for those few points extra with champ and mystery shard drops

Saw the rewards and numbers and actually decided (for the first time) to try to get the soul. Hope this is not a one time generousity of them and future events like this are also reasonable
As always, very informative video, Saph! May I request for you to do a video on NM campaign farmers? From the Alatreon path event, it seems that investing in a dedicated NM farmer is a good investment, specially if you have the mystery shards. However, Im not too sure about the required stats and builds for these. For example, I have Supreme Elhain from the previous fragment fusion just sitting in my inventory, but I hear she’s capable of farming NM campaign. When I try to look for builds for her in youtube or reddit, nothing really comes up showcasing her in that way. Appreciate the help you do for the community! Thanks!
Doing sintranos without a wide variety of awakened champs is extremely difficult.. I regret not farming IT every day since release, i've really only farmed on Sundays.. Im probably gonna go get the dragon tourny fragments in Dragon 20, and then grind campaign for champ training for the heroes path fragments and then get the soul.
My argument of always going solo+food is that I value energy more than time. You, Saph, may have less time and you'd keep preferring to do your 60-70 double run in dragon with your fastest team of 1min or less, I will keep going to 2750 (I need the epic book too, for Sintranos there is always one to build) while doing it in 2-3min each run. With super Raids always active now it is even better for me 😅 Anyway it was always the plan to go back to brutal after tourney❤ (I am going very low on green shards) P. S. This experiment may be different when One is triple dipping because of an actual DD event with a champ training with a tourney: the milestone must be reached seperatly
Yes, but that has nothing to do with the energy efficiency. If you need the gear you can farm Dragon, but it’s gonna cost you a lot more energy than the optimal way the video offers.

If farming dragon is good for your account is very dependent on where you are in the game, and you can’t really compare how good farming dragon vs how good farming campaign is in terms of energy efficiency. This video promises the most energy efficient way of doing this heros path, and that’s what it provides. If you want to be less efficient for the heros path but get gear from dragon, go for it.
Great video! I always want to know how the points required compare to a regular champion training event. Like 'the 94k heroes path points are the equivalent of 2.5 top milestones (14750 points) in a regular training event'. It would be great if you could give such a relation!
Ok Mr. Math wiz...The main reason that we farm 12-3 brutal instead of 12-6 brutal is so that we get more silver. What about doing solo Spider 20 with 4 food vs. Using the saved energy from campaign to run more spider. Which one gets you more silver, and is it worth saving the extra energy.
i don’t go for the fusion, but i want the two star souls for venus and cupid’s. that is a lot of essence i can savo from not buying those. so just two keys and both souls which equates to 15k points i think
What I dislike about having a hero’s path as part of the fusion is the lack of advanced transparency on that path. Obviously we never know what the point requirements are going to be but generally you can make educated guesses on that and at least know what type of event/tournament is coming up when. Otherwise it’s better than DD has gotten but then they could always move the goal posts on the paths in fusions as has happened with the other components.
So if i understood correct the most energy efficient way to get the fragments and 5 star soul is to do 2250 dragon points and then do the rest on tsage 12-6 nightmare. How much energy does that cost without forge pass and what rank champions should i use as food?

I would like to got for the 5 star soul, but I think I will go for 5 fragment + siphi soul, and try to get thee other 10 fragment (and dust on the way). Let's seee how hard is champ chase tomorrow, if the difference between 5 and 10 fragment is small like in summon rush I will go with that and skip champ training.
I had already decided that I was going for the 5 fragments in the Path event, and focusing on Champ Chase. I have a couple Doom Tower Epic Frag champs I can pull. I have some Prism summon pulls saved up, and was planning to pull the last fragment Legendary champ that I completed last frag fusion, like I do each frag fusion after, to help with an extra 500 points. I already started off with enough Dragon Hard runs to get me to 2250, and I am stopped now until the Champ Chase drops tomorrow and I see exactly what point thresholds I am dealing with. If it's only 3000-ish points to get all 15 fragments in Champ Chase, then I will do that as I am already a good part of the ay there. If for some reason Plarium has decided to be an asshole and put the frags up near 5 or 6k, then I will just grind out the Path training on 12-6 to get the frags only. The 5 star soul at the bottom is just ridiculous. I never go for those. Waste of time and resources. I value having enough resources on hand to have an easy time on the next fusion, rather than draining my account dry for one soul. Screw that.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. I still dont think getting the Ankora souls is possible for a FTP account unless they did not other events previous and had 20k+ energy stored for this one event. No way this event is fair to obtain the perfect souls for the champ without being a whale.
Saph, I'm not sure if you mentioned it, but would Spider hard be a good way since you can lvl food, get silver, and points for accessories. Since artifact enhancement is right around the corner. Should it still be stage 20 for spider as well, I personally run hard because the gear is better for my account.
how much less points do you get on 7 hard for dungeons. I can solo hard 7 with food with Gnishak, and it would be nice to know how much less points per energy i would get
Who is everyone using to solo Dragon 20 and what are your times? I'm using Gnishak in regen and Staltus (Arena build) since my Gnishak doesn't have enough good stats to solo. Run is just over a minute on average.
My rotos is already at 3 star, siphi has 1 star. I sniped 2nd place in my training group so I will just skip the path entirely. Quite low on gems atm after all the events anyways and got enough ancient shards to do the chase. Also still got 2 prism pulls and a remnant summon.
I'm doing dragon 20 with 4 food until 2250 points, see how many points I get, then I'll do some brew-ing in the tavern and training in campaign, and probably finnish the Path with Ice Golem on Sunday.
Efficiency comment on a different level: i absolutely despise the monthly 500 campaign runs quest. So on average you get a daily 7 campaign runs followed by a 3 campaign boss runs so approx 10 campaign runs every 2 days so 150 in a month. I usually run 12-3 NORMAL for 350 runs (i believe that normal is less then 50% Efficient than brutal but whatever) so I can complete that montly quest and then switch to solo Dungeons farming to try to get more better gear
I'm curious, so this Hero's path is replacing CT and DD, so DD is currently set to 3700pts for the frags and based on the the CT Tourney 6150pts were needed. So based on this would Dragon 20 or Dragon 20 w/food plus CT give you the 3700pts normally? If not how much more energy would be needed? And what is the comparison between the energy needed here versus the energy needed to do a normal Dragon/CT events? Sorry thinking out loud, thanks for another great informative video.
Its about 5k energy for the 3700 DD points. and 6750 would be around 1.7k energy depending on how much crossover with DD. So its probably comparable or better
Great job of breaking things down Saph. I for one hate champ training so will not be doing any of this. I will just do my normal stuff and whatever I get, I will get. These paths are way too much of a resource drain.

I plan to get as many of the souls as I can, even though I only have rotos. It would be nice to have a soul ready for when/if I pull the champs.
This is really going to be easy for me. I'm only going for the Yumeko soul and whatever extra stuff I can get along the way.
There is the 3x speed gear drop to consider with Dragon - so not as efficient but an opportunity to farm for that.
I won my champ training tournament luckily, so I'm getting the 5 fragments and dipping. I'll finish the fusion with the champ chase.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I still dont think getting the Ankora souls is possible for a FTP account unless they did not other events previous and had 20k+ energy stored for this one event. No way this event is fair to obtain the perfect souls for the champ without being a whale.

Saph, I'm not sure if you mentioned it, but would Spider hard be a good way since you can lvl food, get silver, and points for accessories. Since artifact enhancement is right around the corner. Should it still be stage 20 for spider as well, I personally run hard because the gear is better for my account.
Also there is a choice of getting 10 fragments for 32k if my math is correct. For someone those 2k may be important.

how much less points do you get on 7 hard for dungeons. I can solo hard 7 with food with Gnishak, and it would be nice to know how much less points per energy i would get

What are you meaning by dungeon diver points? You keep saying your geting the DD bonus there is no DD going on what does that mean?
Good thing they didn't make the hero's path take 25% more energy, but more like 100% more.
I've been grinding all day and the 50k points needed for the ankora soul seems out of reach
Who is everyone using to solo Dragon 20 and what are your times? I'm using Gnishak in regen and Staltus (Arena build) since my Gnishak doesn't have enough good stats to solo. Run is just over a minute on average.
No souls or fragments. Going to try for the lego book and the other rewards on the way is lagniappe.

How many gems would I need to get the 5 star blessing?
My rotos is already at 3 star, siphi has 1 star. I sniped 2nd place in my training group so I will just skip the path entirely. Quite low on gems atm after all the events anyways and got enough ancient shards to do the chase. Also still got 2 prism pulls and a remnant summon.
I'm doing dragon 20 with 4 food until 2250 points, see how many points I get, then I'll do some brew-ing in the tavern and training in campaign, and probably finnish the Path with Ice Golem on Sunday.
if they keep up with rewards and not increase the difficulty, I don't mind doing path as a part of the fusion
Efficiency comment on a different level: i absolutely despise the monthly 500 campaign runs quest. So on average you get a daily 7 campaign runs followed by a 3 campaign boss runs so approx 10 campaign runs every 2 days so 150 in a month. I usually run 12-3 NORMAL for 350 runs (i believe that normal is less then 50% Efficient than brutal but whatever) so I can complete that montly quest and then switch to solo Dungeons farming to try to get more better gear
I'm curious, so this Hero's path is replacing CT and DD, so DD is currently set to 3700pts for the frags and based on the the CT Tourney 6150pts were needed. So based on this would Dragon 20 or Dragon 20 w/food plus CT give you the 3700pts normally? If not how much more energy would be needed? And what is the comparison between the energy needed here versus the energy needed to do a normal Dragon/CT events? Sorry thinking out loud, thanks for another great informative video.
Its about 5k energy for the 3700 DD points. and 6750 would be around 1.7k energy depending on how much crossover with DD. So its probably comparable or better
is the volumen of the video a bit down or just me?

TLDR: You can skip Dragon and Ice Golem tournaments if you get fragments from rest of the fusion tourneys/events.
I got about 7 mins in, then thought wait...... and skipped to 20:12 for the actual answer!

The best way is solo dragon hard 10 with gnishak. Campaing and dragon 20 are both wasting energy because you get no gear.

I for one hate champ training so will not be doing any of this. I will just do my normal stuff and whatever I get, I will get. These paths are way too much of a resource drain.
