None. You have to subtract the 500m from the number you’re moving to and then after subtracting simply divide the answer with how many lines are there between your lines. :)

This topic seems fairly well organized, but the others, such as weather and climate and geology, are scattered throughout your channel. If the horizontal scale is measured in miles, assume the elevation is measured in feet. There would be no reason to mix meters with miles (or kilometers with feet).

The problem with contour intervals, is that, I believe it only works on mountains, as they ascend, cause obviously the ground has inconsistent fluctuating, random, irrelevant heights.
