Just a a small additional information: around the 2010’s, Belgium didn’t have a government at all (for 592 days). While I have I have no idea how politics work, what I do know though was that it was chaos in our country. Hi from Belgium and the reason why the South will be annex by France is in the south we speak french and in the north flemish (similar to neederland).
Belgium is basically just a buffer zone
