Hear me out for a second, Just imagine Entwistle and Lemmy if they were playing bass together on Spinal Tap’s “Big Bottom” which is all bass and drums, that would have sounded even heavier
One note perfectly into another. Psychidelic - his mind - much more deserving of praise than we give him. Plays bass as Hendrix worked impossible guitar. Never heard anything so low and high simultaneously.
I mean I love Lemmy, and I've lived with Motorhead all my life, but 'played bass like Hendrix played guitar'? Are you f*cking mad? Lemmy was a great m,usician and songwriter but he was in no way a technically-skilled player.
It is bloody brilliant, I also get chills down my spine while listening to the " No Sleep 'Till Hammersmith" version of "Motorhead" track, "Thank You Very Much... Just in Case....." and the bass sound hits You like a bloody train.

Hi, in fact I found .mogg tracks online, they are already separated instrument tracks. I juste kept the bass alone. You can isolate the bass on audacity yourself, but it requires some skill I don't have 😂
Yes that’s why I asked you, I thought you have done this by yourself. I have read that it’s hard to remove tracks from songs without deleting other sounds you will like to keep. Thank you, keep rocking
I mean if you listen closely you can still hear parts of the other lines, like vocals, but they're barely audible. I think what's being done here is either some editing wizardry with a filter of sorts that only allows for the lower frequencies to come through, and the higher frequencies are muted, or maybe we're just hearing part of the backing track that they used as reference when recording? I have no idea tbh
@@Da_Swifta the clarity of this suggests that this isn't stripped out of the mixed recording, it's from the original master tapes. When sounds are isolated from a fully mixed recording, there's almost always more bleed though of other instruments and the sound tends to be a bit "phased" sounding. Whereas here it's clear enough that you can hear the background hum of his pickups.
100%+BLACK MAN METAL ROCK GUITARIST> LEMMY IS MY FAVORITE BASSIST!!! HE IS A METAL GUITARIST ON BASS!!! LEMMY IS AWESOME!!! I "L❤VE" MOTORHEAD!!! MOTORHEAD IS MY FAVORITE ROCK BAND!!!😊🎸❤!!!
Exactly. If I wanted to hear slap&pop, I'd go to any Guitard Center in the nation an hour after the black church sevices were over. Between the bassists in their $79 suits and the drummers on the electronic kits, it's a total jagoff session all fucking afternoon.
I'm glad metal bassists these days know better than to fall for the Rickenbacker meme except losers who are paid to shill them. Kingstons, Foderas, Music Mans, and Warwicks are all boutique instruments but they don't break their own necks through string tension with anything other than light gauge flatwounds.
Lemmy's basslines might not be the most complex technically or composition-wise, but he plays them with an unmatched attitude like a stampede.
I agree it's not the most complex ones, but some are quite difficult, take the solo of "Stay Clean" for example.
Jacques F. Try Orgone Accumulator when he was with Hawkwind. That’s one loooong bass solo/run. If that doesn’t prove his worth as a Bass player then I’m wrong, which I’m not.

While not a complex song, it can be a bit hard for bassists who aren't used to play chords, specially like this.
"Do you play the bass or the rhythm guitar?"
Lemmy: "Yes."

He was talking about his style of playing bass. And actually, he was a guitarist BEFORE he played bass, hence his style of bass playing.

this song’s bass just has everything: high and low frequencies
