In hindsight its amazing what all these bands were able to do with this genre. Really good tunes and solid bands but people came out to see them. ALOT. And there was a solid 10 years of sold out post hardcore type shows all over the country with hundreds of bands. Its wild to think about really, most of the people involved had to be between 15-30. Really cool to see young people doing something like this.
I'm so happy someone uploaded this. I looked it up because I was going to upload it today lol. I used to watch this DVD every single day when The Silence in Black & White came out, back when I was 9 years old and they were always on MTV. I'm 25 now and watching this made me cry for Casey. I honestly can't believe he died so young. It hasn't hit me this hard before. I miss him, and what this band used to be. They were my first concert at the 2006 Nintendo Fusion Tour when the Wii came out, at Dallas TX on Casey's birthday, it was amazing and we all sang Happy Birthday to him. Seen them plenty more times and hung out with them VIP, very down to Earth and quirky dudes. Can't you tell I'm (or used to) be a fanboy? Lol. Anyways, thanks for the upload, put me on a much needed trip down memory lane. Thanks and hope to see more.
You're very welcome dude! Happy I could help, I definitely plan to post more Hawthorne Heights stuff as I get it. I'm really hoping to find the This Is Who We Are DVD at some point. It's super awesome that you have those memories of seeing them. I'm only 17 and I haven't seen them but I adore them. I'm super happy to see people appreciate this content like they do because I wasn't sure who was gonna watch it. This channel started because of the Silence DVD actually. I wanted to show someone the commercials for the album that were in the bonus features when I realized nothing of this DVD was online.
I'm hoping to one day upload a few more Hawthorne Heights videos from Casey's life. My copy of If Only You Were Lonely is sadly missing the DVD and I don't own their live DVDs yet
Thanks for the upload. I used to watch this DVD religiously when I was a little kid in elementary school. Can’t find it anywhere now. The nostalgia is really hitting me. RIP Casey.
I first heard this band on a Victory records demo cd I got from an Atreyu / From Autumn to Ashes show at the Phoenix theatre in Petaluma CA in 2004. It had Speeding up the Octaves on it, we listened to it over and over on the drive home that night. A few months later the Silence in Black and white came out, I got it immediately and loved it. Instant classic. Still love the first two albums, and I will always remember how I found these guys!
The energy they used to have on stage.... Still love this band and I see them whenever they're in town, but sad I didn't get to when Casey was still alive
thought i still had this dvd.. sad to see it wasnt in my collection still. this band in probably my all time favorite. shame the genre went to shit. trying to see them in Cincinnati in a week or so.
Anyone know what the heck happened to JT at 22:23? Did he get shocked or something? I remember this DVD from years and years ago and never could figure it out.
Man! Where was that energy when I saw them with New Found Glory couple years back? I mean the show was good & they had a good set list, but it seemed like they were just going through the motions. Guess things change.
Yeah this was like 2004 & JT was already like 26-28 at that time. Think they were all a little “older” than some bands we saw that started when they were 16-18
Absolutely an age thing. I can’t jump around like that anymore with my band and I’m only 31 lol pretty sure they’re 30 here and mid 40’s when you saw them recently
Didn't know this exist, damn, now I wonder if there is a full version from Silverstein set too and if so, by any chance do you have it? I have only seen The Weak and the Wounded and November being posted online.
@@roccot3872 It's just a matter of time until I come across them, I'm actively hunting them down, also there's probably a tribute to Casey on Fragile Future's DVD and I'm after that whether there is or isn't.
On the dvd there was like a tour of their van & an added part at the end that shows them doing autographs & stuff with fans. It was an awesome dvd believe you can still buy with their silence in black & white cd. Just gotta find the one that says with DVD
2023& still very much here for Hawthorne Heights ♥️

When they all jump in the crowd at the end 😂

You're very welcome
I remember this was one of the first bands I got into. From their saying sorry song on MTV. I still blast this sometimes whilst drinking. Good times.
Never knew they appeared on MTV, that's really cool to know!
jdh21403 Yup good times lol
@@jdh-wk5fs Yup! It was a different time, one we’ll never get back
@@jdh-wk5fs I saw a live mtv performance of ohio is for lovers & that’s how I learned about them :)

JT hasn’t moved around like this in years!!
He’s sober now 😂
@@ducjerk1 haha no doubt au
@@ducjerk1Now? JT is straight edge
@@ducjerk1JT never had a problem
Let's be honest, the album was so over the top produced...a decent live show would be nearly impossible.
Still on my top 10 all time
Over produced? they made that record for like $10 and is simple as f.
@@Mike-zf4xgFr the same guy who did FOB's first album did it. This dude's rewriting history lol
Some of the content from this DVD was filmed at Tremont Music Hall in my hometown of Charlotte :)
Holy ground
Silverstein was on this dvd too
Found out why casey doesn’t jump into the crowd at the end. Had a lawsuit at the time for jumping into a crowd in the UK. RIP.
Did not know that, I miss that man
jdh21403 only came across it the other day doing abit of reading about him.

no clue
The audio wasn't mixed right or perhaps something to do with the wire because in the previous shot he was struggling with the wire
Just didn’t catch his audio cause he pulled away from the mic last second

I have not found anything like that, though I always am looking for Victory DVDs I don't own
You can still buy this I believe. It was on their Silence In Black & White special CD with DVD extras
Do you have anymore of Casey?
Not at the moment but I'm hoping to get the This Is Who We Are DVD and the bundle bonus from If Only You Were Lonely's special edition
