The press is a modernized version of Bielsa's, is how I see it, where the defense keep their shape without going man to man, keeping the empty spaces low, while the forwards do the work.

Mate wtf lol. Bielsa turned Harrison into the player he is. He got 16 goals/assists in his first PL season and 8 goals last season. Harrison is a pure Bielsa product.
So too Struijk. Who was a kid Bielsa was forced to play in his first season in the PL because of injuries. Who he turned into a PL player. And a player he taught to play in more advanced positions. Who he taught to be aggressive and to be able to defend 1on1, and so on.
Rodrigo is a player Bielsa bought who got 20 goals/assists.
Stop talking nonsense. Bielsa was given a joke of a squad last season, even before the ridiculous injuries. This Summer we signed 6 quality players (funded by the sale of two players Bielsa made into 50mil pound players) and sold just 2. Last Summer we sold 4 and brought in just 2 (Bielsa only asked for 3).
There is no comparison. Last season we had about 14 senior players. No CM. Dallas covering both full back positions. Tyler fucking Roberts covering 10 and CF. Come on. The Yank has been given a squad Bielsa could only have dreamed of. We have depth and a bench.
And, even last season, how on Earth did he fail? He had us outside the relegation zone with 12 easy games left, in impossible circumstances. The Yank didn't improve our form at all. The logic makes no sense. Bielsa did more to keep us up last season than the Yank as he was here for most of the season, and our form remained constant throughout.

Newcastle are playing out of their skins as well mate. Have a lot of love for the geordies. Always have but even more so after you helped keep us up last season. Unlucky against city today. You had it in the bag but imo that's the difference between Chelsea and City. They never stop fighting and you can never switch off with them. Bruno G is one of the best players in league right now. Its captivating to watch him play. And joelinton has been a revelation since switching positions.
Leeds were wonderful and are so much better than last season. Became a supporter many years ago during the great Don Revie years. Born in Belfast now living in N.Illinois. Love the enthusiasm of Jesse Marsh!

The board hasn't spent anything yet, Philips and Raphinia paid for all of the signings so far. I'll be pissed if they don't bring in another left back and striker. I'd still like more cover in midfield as well. If Aaronson gets injured the press will likely fall apart as he presses like there is 3 of him.

Rodrigo is a new player what a start the lad has had this season so far keeps scoring goals today he gets a header it's always nice to see a headed goal respect to the lad wore the captain's arm band with pride 👏 always talking to the Lads. Pleased Brenden Aaronson scored this lad is going to be a Leeds legend early days but play's with pride 👏 play's for the team. Bielsa dealt with so many injuries. Now we have Dallas, Cooper, and Ayling who are yet to come back. It feels good to know that the team will continue to improve.
Personally I can't see ayling getting back into the team. Great for the dressing room but don't think he will be anything more than cover for kristensson now. Same with Cooper, yes he's our "captain" and his communication is good for the back line but imo he's not getting in front of Koch, llorente or pascal anytime soon. Dallas is a different story. He's an exceptional midfielder so I can see him getting dropped in when roca tires and we need some more pace. But right now all our first team is playing fantastically well so what a good headache it must be for marsch when choosing the squad. I just hope when the bad results start to come (and obviously they will because you can't have the run of play every week) that we stay focused and dig in without letting it shred our confidence.

Bryn Laws is his name, a Welsh commentator & ex-Sky Sports reporter who always did the Leeds games for them, particularly at ER - I think he follows Wrexham (someone can correct me on that one) but he's alway had a passion for Leeds, one of the few in a world of gobshite pundits. He is a brillant commentator who should be doing the main games on Sky Sport - their lost, Leeds's gain, long may that continue 🤗🤗🤗🤗😶

This is still very much Bielsa's team, Bielsa's players and Bielsa's spirit, ethos and fitness levels. Bielsa's influence will live on in the club for years. And he should still be here enjoying what he created and earned. Harrison is a player Bielsa created from scratch. Struijk is a kid who cost about 200k from Holland who Bielsa turned into a PL player. The massive improvement in the squad this Summer was funded by the sales of a player Bielsa created from scratch and another player who's value he trebled in a year. Gelhardt is a player Bielsa turned into a CF and instilled a warrior work ethic in and made lose 9kg. And so on, and so on.
Bielsa finished 9th in the PL with Tyler Roberts as a starter and Dallas covering about 6 positions.
Please don't minimise what Bielsa accomplished. The Yank inherited a team of warriors, the fittest and hardest working group in the world (not an exaggeration). And the squad Bielsa was given last season was a joke. We've added 6 quality players and lost just 2. Last Summer we added 2 and lost 4.

The club is always above all people including Bielsa off course. What you can't see because you're in love with Bielsa is that Bielsa made hugh mistakes and sacked him was the right thing to do. Actually we should've sack him earlier on last season. Coming back to Prem took more than 15 years. It was a living hell. And Bielsa took us out of that nightmare and after almost two seasons he left the club at the gates of that same hell. When Bielsa decided doing man to man marking and we started being smashed by every single club of the Prem I knew it was time to sack him out of the club. It was the right thing to do. And you can't live your life living in the past. Bielsa is the past. Now I'm 100% with this manager who is trying to teach this players how to defense properly which is something Bielsa never did. This game against Chelsea was the best football I've seen from Leeds since I was a boychild. And it's all thanks to Jesse with the old players and the signings Jesse made and Radrizzani who had the balls of sacking Bielsa and sign this manager who nobody knew. Period.
