I imitate the expert tyers in my area because they tie what the forage is in my area. That helps me tie better and gives me direction to tweak my flies to what I see as forage. Thanks for the insight and great video.
You say that cause you can tie really well. I get you’re point but you’re at your stage in your fly tying knowledge that you can preach this. You have to start somewhere. See a fly we bought figure how it’s wrapped try to simplify it. Watch a million you tube videos but only if we tie a bunch of flies we only can get better
