    the output input voltage relation needs some editing, it should be 0.5Vi instead of 2Vi.
    Well done for your hardwork.

    Hi 👋. Thank you for this explain. I have a question: In a smps device that I want to repair, there are 2 SRD (3pda 60), step recovery diode, and there is not pulse transformer. Please explain how that diodes work. 🙏🏻

    As Subhojit Das says, with both Q1 and Q2 'on' ... even briefly, the Vin DC supply is short circuited (through the Mosfets) and a very high current, often exceeding the Mosfet specifications, can flow. This is called 'shoot-through' and has to be avoided. Dead-time in the turn-on and turn-off is introduced to prevent this situation.

  • @mehdibenzineb5544
    @mehdibenzineb5544 Рік тому +1

    There is a big mistake about the direction of current when each mosfets turns on; firstfull the c2 and c1 are initially fully charged, then when Q1 turns on the current start flowing from +c2 to the negative side c2 in this case the Primary side of transformer supplied by Vin/2 and the current get positive; On the other hand, when Q2 turn on and Q1 off the current flow from +c1 to the negative side of c1 (GND) then the current gets negative and finally the voltage will -vin/2

    Will freewheeling happen at primary side? How primary side current is increasing and decreasing drastically from zero?

    Thank you very much for your videos, it's very helpful, but in this particular one I think you have a mistake. As I know, the Volt Second Balance of full bridge converter is given by: Vout=D*Vin*(Ns/Np) and not Vout=2*D*Vin*(Ns/Np)

    i already have a background on rhe half bridge feedback thanks to you but it is not enough for me so far
    i work with the ir2153 and i would like to have all the details regardingthe stabilization of my two outputs
    how am i going to connect the feedback ?

    Thank but I have burning questions if I series two 555 timer can I use the two output signal for h bridge inverting for high and low with the two 555 timer I see a circuit of that in a h bridge motor drive but not on inverter so I want to know if the same design can use a transformer for inverting

    6:58 there is a minor mistake. Currents of diodes will look slightly different. Due to inductance of a transformer they cannot change immediately. So if initially ID1 was 100A and ID2 was 0A, they will respectively decrease and increase until they eventually reach L1 current.

    5:30 No, the problem is that the MOSFETs would short out the power supply.

    I hv designed half bridge topology based smps
    .. i already implemented dead time in two gate input
    Bt when I check the input of primary of transformer then dead time does not present
    And if I reduced the duty cycle of gate .still transformer primary still gives 50% squre out with no dead time ..will u help me ..thank u very much

    Why is Vo = 2 x Vin x D x turn ratio ? I can understand Vin x D x turn ratio . But I don't understand how that 2 came . I thought when you are connecting from center tap to one end you will get only half the total secondary voltage . So shouldn't it be 1/2 x Vin x D x turn ratio. ?

    • @FoolishEngineer
      @FoolishEngineer  4 роки тому

      Here both Secondary turns of a Transformer contribute for the output voltage.
      For better understanding you can refer to book 'Power Supply Cookbook by Marty Brown' - Page 58

    excuse me may be i am in trouble.but in animation current crossing from capacitor in wich the dc current dont cross from capacitor.first mosfet charge second mosfet and current is open because capacitor is charged .when mosfet nuber2 is closed the capacitor 2 discharge .and continued.but why the mosfets must be open in one time .one is closed other is opend.and revers.!!!!!!!

  • @ruchikumari6996
    @ruchikumari6996 4 роки тому

    Hey you have taken input voltage as Dc right?. so how does it support induction in transformer.since we have been studying since btech, transformer works in ac only?

    • @FoolishEngineer
      @FoolishEngineer  4 роки тому +1

      Well, technically you are giving AC to transformer, AC doesn't only mean Sine wve.

      @@ruchikumari6996 We know in AC wave current changes its direction after every half cycle right. Similarly in this circuit, we have arranged the MOSFETs in such a way that direction of current is getting revered so technically it is working as an AC. Hope it clears your confusion
