I played Ultimate competitively the first few weeks it was out, and I think I hit Elite when I got to about 1 to 1.5 million. Didn't realize inflation was this bad, lol
I have been trying to get my Joker into Elite, and the people just outside Elite are better than the ones barely in because they won't camp or use dumb tactics to get into elite. They at least try a little.
This is so true, I got my main at about 8-9 and my secondary is stuck at around 3-4 and I feel like some of the better players are in that 3-4 range sometimes
I have low gap because I just don’t play online but when I do I have hard time because either try to play mind games with people who just mash f smash with fast characters
I have Dedede at 14.6mil and Mario at 2.09mil. A lot of my characters are just stuck in gsp hell because I didn't take the game seriously when I got NSO.
I don't get how people are low GSP. You can be absolute dogwater at the game, and all you have to do is ALWAYS read a double jump back to stage, and you'll get to 10 million easy. You can get into elite with 2% skill even
You guys, some of the funniest, and most fun, matches I've had are at low GSP. If you play freeforall style a lot, you're going to lose massive amounts of that arbitrary number. That arbitrary, misleading score. Ranked numbers online are silly! :D
Back in the early days I tried to main Ike and he stabilized at around 19,000-20,000 GSP. By not playing online for like 2 years his GSP was inflated to 2.9 million.
yeah, I got down to similar GSP with bayo on purpose. anyone who's saying low-gsp is "godlike" is out of their mind. true low gsp players lose to a bayo doing nothing but f-tilt and walking around.
Sometimes I do wish my GSP gets lower just to play for fun against someone. Unfortunately with my main in elite smash. I get either sweaty ass players who uses top tier thinking they are so good and smart or players with shitty rule set for easier win. Good thing Duck Hunt is around 8 mil for me.
I am a casual and i genuinely don't understand how people get this low. I was 12 when ultimate came out and I still got some characters close to elite back then
I don't go to tournaments and I don't practice, so half the time I get real low GSP it's because people around 6-9 mill GSP just hold forward and lay on constant pressure and I literally just can't figure out what the answer is for each interaction I have a few characters in Elite smash, but then I try someone else and I try different things to learn and clearly there has to be an answer but I start feeling like nothing I do is working and get so frustrated
Elite smash is just that. Elite. Yah have to be a top 5% player at least to be there. When i went to high school i remeber well being the onky guy in the whole school in elite. (Before you ask, i was in the esports club there)
