Thank you for making this video. 1:58 I can't alter anything here. It doesn't show Checkout page. It does offer the option to type an ID. And when I try to type the ID of the checkout page. It does not accept this. However, the plugin works great!
thanks for this video. for the 1st option (woo commerce settings), in the woocommerce > settings > advanced > cart page, I dont' have the checkout option in the dropdown. How am I supposed to do ? Thanks a lot
@@carolinedafonseca2925 So, your issue is resolved now? If not check that docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-checkout-add-ons/. Also Please tell us that whether the checkout page is added or not ?
My cart will not let me make any changes. Even when I type in the code for the checkout, woocommerce says it can't find it. The first one seem like such an method. I have so many plug-in. Any advice as to why it may not be allowing me to switch cart to checkout in the first method?
I have ALREADY commented that bypassing the cart page (or not having a link for this) it will frustrate the visitors and YES it will decrease the conversions. If you don't have a cart page then you will have checkout abandonment! This is because people want to have a preview of their cart before you ask them for delivery and payment methods. That's too much information in the buyer's journey.
Hello sir 1st method worked for 2 3 times (checkout page open) but after some time its not working After click on add to cart button same page refreshing again and again Not open checkout page
It may be conflicting with any of the plugins installed. Try disabling all other plugins except woocommerce. Also, to make sure it's not theme issue, try changing the theme to some default free theme like storefront. Clear the cache and retry. If you find our channel useful, please like, subscribe 🙂
Hi Brian, Are you talking about our first method related to the Advanced tab of WooCommerce Settings? If yes, the checkout page option still shows in the cart settings. We have confirmed in the latest version 3.8.0 as well. Maybe you have given a different name for the checkout page?
@@sarahlong9547 Hey, have you changed the name of the checkout page? We can still see the setting in the Advanced > Page setup of WooCommerce. We are using version 3.8.1.
@@MrKAT0K Update WooCommerce if you haven't. We can still the Checkout page option on the Cart page. See here - learnwoo.com/skip-cart-page-redirect-checkout-page-woocommerce/#woocommerce-default-settings
It is helpful for business cases like single product web stores. We would like to hear other business cases in which skipping the cart page makes sense.
@@LearnWoo I didn't mean that your video is not appropriate, but the purpose is not right, in my opinion. I was trying to find a way to get rid of the "mini cart" preview (a drop-down preview of the cart) and instead direct my customers directly to the cart page. Instead I was finding in the search results of Google many videos (like yours) how to bypass completely the cart page. Well, we have run a Usability test for our webshop and one of the feedback that we received was that the link to the cart page was not as visible as the button for the checkout page. Because people wanted to have a simple and clear view of their shopping cart without contact information, addresses, payment methods, coupons etc. Thus it is something that people NEED. On the other hand, one more click is not a reason to abandon a page, as long as the page that loads has the content they are expecting to find. I am not sure that the people who are watching your video or any other similar video, have a clear idea of why to skip the cart page.

I think the first option is no longer available in latest version.
