The Alliance is becoming one of my favorite factions. I like to snag Scanlink early, and explore every time I produce outside my home system. It has been a nice edge in some of fleet building races our games turn into.
Pre-fab Arcologies was really strong for my opponent in a previous game. They rushed straight for the tech with a tech skip. Their agent and commander both allow them to explore planets, which will also ready those planets with Pre-fab Arcologies. My opponent just kept attacking and exploring, leaving undefended planets... hoping that they could re-attack them later if we took them. Often, they would get to use the planet, let it get captured by us, re-capture it, then explore and ready, and use the planet a second time in a round.
Perfect timing, game in a few days and these guys are my first pick. :-) Thanks so much for the great information, I saw in another comment Sardakk N’orr is done, any Winnu love coming up? :-P I haven’t tried the “upgraded” Winnu, they look much better on paper though. Hope all is well and keep up the great work! Thank you!
Glad to be of service! If you would like, I can consider this a request for the Winnu. I'll give you a shout out for the request and have the video out on September 16th. Stay Tuned! :)
@@TheBoardGameKaptain Sorry for the late reply, that would be awesome! :-) Really appreciate the hard work and thought you have put into these, thank you. :-) I have sent links of lots of things to people.
@@JohnathanRMcBride thanks so very much for your support. I’ll definitely be giving you a shout out in the Winnu episode for the request. Thanks again. :)
Great video, what do you think of going cruisers II on first tech ( with ai dev) in order to be able to explore a system 2 tiles away (after someone pops warfare) , or i shouild go for a green tech on round 1 ?
The Cruiser mark II is definitely a great unit but I don't think that I'd go for it first round, especially since you don't start with any cruisers on the board. I'd probably recommend to wait until second round after building some cruisers on round one if you want to go for it early and in stead go for either the Scanlink drone network or Self Assembly routines on round one. Though that's just how I like to play them mind you. Feel free to try different strategies and please let me know how they work out for you. Thanks very much for the positive feedback as well. :)
hey you! WHO? ME? pssst! yeah. wanna buy a relic? A RELIC? psssst! yes, a relic. OF COURSE! pssssssssssssssssst! of course WHAT...what can i use it for? WHATEVER......whatever you want to Nico is very busy in the background shooting his own vid! :D ♥

Indeed, it's a very good idea to try to get it round 1. The more exploration that you can do with these guys the better.
Thanks for the shout out and video!

That sounds positively brutal and viscous! I love it.
Love your enthusiasm! Thanks for a thorough explanation.

Love the analysis! One of the best faction strategy videos I have seen!
Thank you very much! :)

doesn't hyper metabolism give 3 command tokens instead of 2?
Yes, if I said different I made an error.
At 21:23 I think you have a misprinted hyper metabolism

These guys are great especially because I am always so lucky with fragments I can pump out 3-4 relics with these guys, if trade partners are willing
Indeed, there are lots of cool abilities to be had from exploring and making those relics! It's definitely the way to play with them.
Sorry, Kaptain, if this question was already answered for, but have you already analyzed Sardak Norr or maybe you have it in your plans ?
I just filmed the episode for The Sardak N'orr a couple of days ago. I plan to have it edited and released on September 2nd. Stay tuned! :)
