In the the update page. It says 24.1, but in the settings, it says 24.0.5.
Hi I'm considering buying myself one but I'm concerned about the latest issues I've been seeing online about the black screen of death. Is it a big common issue or is it a rare occurrence? Either way have there been fixes?
Im not super aware of that issue. For myself I have 3 steam decks 2 from launch and one oled from last year. No issues with all three so far

Anyway, the issue I found was regarding the fact that if the battery runs out with an ongoing game(could be a genuine mistake), the screen would turn black

I thought maybe Star Wars Racer but not that - always a bit irritating when games are on screen without a quick text graphic saying what they are !
1st one is Deathgrip Early Access racer like Wipeout. 2nd is Ex-Zodiac a very much Star Fox inspired shooter.

First game is called. DeathGrip and the second is EX-Zodiac. Both on steam
you read that wrong. check out your low fps, they are higher in preview.
I dont use those. I dont reset my msi afterburner. lol. Lows and averages in the software not accurate not used. Prefer straight side by side benches and gameplay. Least most of the time. If I were making graphs which i absolutely despise and n game testing then i would probably grab those. Either way the numbers speak for some games are definitely running worse and some are the same. Havent found one doing better yet. However the better frametimes and “ average lows “ do a little better on preview right now with overall performance loss tho in alot of cases.

They tend to fix things up by Stable release. Also its very very game dependent. Its not a straight loss but yea so far a lot of games im trying have better frametime but lower fps with often lower gpu clocks. For now lol
u were getting lower fps on the 3.6 but u were also using less wattage.
Yea curious how it will perform once its on Stable and updated. Valve has done a great job tweaking the deck since launch
