You’re really doing yourself a favor by doing these unboxing videos. Even if someone isn’t interested in the game itself, the models are good enough to stand on their own merits.
I love to see what's in the box, I would also love to see some battle reports. There are some on the internet but usually not many of good quality audio/video and I would like to share the game to some friends. Using something with good quality would help in my opinion.
Scarecrows/Spectres kitbash really well with plague zombies from the plague miniature range. It also gives a more sci-fi feel with the military gear legs/torsos on the zombie sprues.
This video was useful. I own loads of Mantic figures, but I'm not familiar with the newer ranges like Nightstalkers. I find the descriptions on the website a bit vague. "Plastic" can mean HIPS or PVC, but which is used makes a big difference to my decision to buy or not. I decided to buy the new Firefight starter set, but it took me a long time to find out which models were HIPS. I'm also still unsure if the Nightstalkers in the starter are supplied with their resin upgrades or not, so extra clarity does help.
Love seeing videos like this. It's nice to know exactly what you can expect to get and see it kind of laid out like that. These things are all so creepy and awesome looking. There's pretty much an endless variety of paint options for them. Looking forward to getting some.
Thanks a lot Andy - quite informative! It's awesome to see the sprues and I think the team-up with Archon Studios for the plastic Minis is the best thing Mantic could do. I also agree that 1000 Points is the sweet spot for Firefight and I painted up now my Enforcers and Forge Fathers. The Vermyn and Marauders are next. :-) Now it's time to buy some Plague, Asterians and Void Monsters ...

@@manticgames You are right! I think many people don't know the newer mantic products so well. I by myself started back in time with the first Elves and Undead Sprues and over time I collected 4 Armies for Kings of War. There where sometimes some hit and miss here and there (the old metal models for the undead, for example), but I was always happy with the plastic minis, the rules and the company. Since I dipped my toes into Deadzone and Firefight I'm hocked more than ever and the new hard plastic models are really good! And as promised I ordered my next 1000 points for Firefight - this time it's the Plague. :-D
Great video, and a cracking deal for £80. Really like the direction mantic is taking across the board (including bringing Andy in for these vids!). Now if you could just get a little UX advice on your website we'd be flying. That and good photos, the models are crying out for it
When someone says Scarecrows in SciFi, I remember the villain of that name from the 80's show "Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers". Super creepy nasty dude, fit the Science Fiction universe perfectly.

Just a little note, the two types of talons in the reaper unit, are two distinct sets of part on the sprue. The multi fingered hands are the wicked talons, while the long pointed arms are the tormentor talons. They also use different heads. It’s the same distinction as the reapers and the tormentors in Kings of War.

Really enjoyed seeing what was in the box, really nice new sculpts and they looked awesome painted, definitely gave me something to think about 🤔
What I think would be a good idea is to see the whole force glued and painted at the end of the video so we can we what we get.
I had a lot of NS leftover as Spares from my KoW army, they've been transported to the far future to bring terror to the stars.
Perfect way to make use of them.
I would love if you upload some battle reports for Firefight, since there are not a lot to see the game in action.😅

Are these the same models you get for kings of war just for firefight?
Some are the same but others have some upgrades not available in KoW. Plus there's some completely new models too.

Those look great! I wonder though about Dreadball. The game was great and actually different from BloodBowl. Will it ever see a re-release?
It's not high on our list of things we're working on right now but that doesn't mean it won't ever return.
