I'm so happy you didn't make a big deal about the display as other developers, honestly I think there is no reason for 1440p displays on phone screens as they really don't need it. The phone already has a PPI of over 400 which is more than enough for any normal use. Also if any wants to get mad at OnePlus for using a pentile screen so does (and has previously) Samsung on the latest Galaxy S7 and before hand.

Mike, you do some of the nicest work on UA-cam when it comes to unboxing and reviews. The video is always top notch and the review is in depth and and easy to understand.

phone actually has everything i need, it looks so good and the performance with the 6gb of ram no doubt will be super fast especially with the huge number of applications that come up everyday, so definetely they needed to increase the ram. Also, the camera is very good compared to lots of phones out there with alot of pixels but the camera still not so efficient, the price is also very competitive.. now am thinking of moving from my htc m7 to this one.. Thanks alot for this perfect honest review, and seriously you are the best reviewer on youtube. keep it up
I'll never fall for cheap flagships, there has to something that doesn't work. Maybe call quality, dropped calls, or something only time will tell! The video is great by the way.

Another fantastic vid! Will jump into the android pool again with this. I tried an S7 and sent it back. Felt laggy and apps closing, I felt like a beta tester. It's a shame the camera isn't quite up to scratch but I'm thinking its software related. They have a lot of catching up to do but at this price? It's a no brainier. At this price I would have also kept the S7 but at full retail I don't expect compromises so this price for the 1+3? with these specs? I'll happily compromise a little 😉 lets hope they sort out those exposure issues. How they get these specs at this price with all that ram & 64gb storage?? Bargain!

+uhkenley My Nexus 6P can keep a similar amount open too. The Oneplus 3 is limited by the number of apps it can keep open. It's literally a line in the build.prop that tells it to start dropping apps when it reaches a certain number, regardless of how much memory is free.
This is a very nice phone and I think it's the only phone that could really concurencer Apple

You do know there is a white balance toggle in settings and in the next OTA (3.1.4) there will be a display calibration setting too. Just like on a Samsung device.

If One Plus can put out these amazing phones for $400, I don't understand why Apple wants $850 for a "similar" phone. With not even as much RAM or processor.
