How long did it take for your braid pattern to go away? How long before you didn’t have to braid and band? Your hair looks great!
Thank you! I’ll work on an update for April. 😊 I self retighten, yes. My hair frizzed to the point where I couldn’t really see my pattern around 7 months. I never braided or banded with my braidlocs.
Your locs are beautiful! I am 3/4 complete starting mine.They only mousse that I have tried that is pretty awesome and no residue for me was Peculiar Roots brand. Blessings!

My "wash days" as a loose natural were always less than an hour.
I never dedicated hours to washing and conditioning.
