For city use, it's good enough, despite the lack of power, which isn't too bad. I drive an 87hp version and find it a bit slow, you tend to push the pedal a bit. After all, it's not a Renault Velsatis, but it's not too bad for a city car, which was one of the most versatile in its class at the time.
@@TopSpeedBrothers Ah ich habe gerade in einem Kommentar gesehen das ihr deutsch seit da kann man gleich viel besser schreiben😂 und es gibt keine wirklichen Videos leider zu dem Auto das würde mich echt interessieren wie viel der läuft wenn sogar die 69PS schon knappe 180 laufen muss der Adam S doch locker 230 packen (außer er ist abgeriegelt weil man liest das er das sein soll bei 210 aber das kann ich mir nicht vorstellen)
😂😂 ja das macht es einfacher. Wir hatten den 1.4 mit 145 PS im Astra K. Der war offen und lief bergab mit rückenwind über 230kmh, also sollte da ordentlich potenzial sein. Das arme Motörchen! Bin ihn selbst eine Zeit lang gefahren, er hat meines Erachtens auch mit niedrigeren Drehzahlen genug Wumms für zügigen Alltag. Man muss nicht Rally fahren wie hier :D
@@TopSpeedBrothers Stimmt, darüber kann man echt froh sein. Mit dem kleinen Fliegengewicht habe ich auch schon so manche überholt die eigentlich weit voraus waren :) Steht ein Test mit dem Adam S eigentlich auch auf der Liste ? :)
@@Anna-LenaMusic Hatte bei meinem (116 PS Variante) neulich 217 km/h. OK das ist das was der Tacho anzeigt. Keine Ahnung wie hoch die Tachotoleranz ist. 196 km/h max ist im Fahrzeugschein eingetragen. Wie auch immer, der zieht echt ganz gut. Dauerhaft am Limit rasen tue ich mit dem aber nicht. Dafür sind die Bremsen einfach nicht ausgelegt. War nur n kleiner Test. Ist schon n schönes Auto.
I agree it looks strange and it doesn’t feel right but the engine produces it’s max power very late and the highest speed can not be reached in the final gear.
@@TopSpeedBrothers I realized that but that car is not made for performance it is made for city.But it was fun to watch,and as long it has good oil the car shouldn't star consume oil. Keep up the good work!
That is so awesome how you can drive as fast as you want on parts of the Autobahn. I wish we had something like that here in the USA.

I have Corsa E 1.4 75ps 130Nm for my second car.
It has enough power for city and a little bit less for highways.
But I like it..

these engine are disigned to undure high rpms because these small 1.2 and 1.4 are pretty low power so they must make higher rpms to go faster
