Palpatine was FAR more powerful than Windu, and could have killed him anytime.

The stance is stupid. There's a reason swords were wielded like they were historically, it uses the best potential of the human anatomy to strike swift and with force. The way Stakiller wields his sword is just ineffective. Don't know why they settled on this, breaks my immersion completely.
