The same guys have an upcoming (I think standalone) game called Outgunned Adventure which is basically Broken Compass 2 except they actually own the rights to it this time.
Solid comparison. I commented about VTT availability in the Outgunned video. You seem to use the old Foundry module, which is now defunct and replaced by newer ones.
I miss the character creation of BC - the way you mashed two descriptors together felt a bit more robust. But other than that, I totally agree with all your points here! 😁👍
Outgunned is largely the same, they just split the descriptors between Role (Commando, Spy, Face, etc) and Trope (Hunk, Bad to the Bone, Charming Bastard, etc.). But I can't wait to see more of them, since I bet you'll see a lot of the same ones combined in Outgunned.
@@1ShotJC Yah, true. And I do love OG, so it's not a criticism. More an observation. I think it was the more freestyle approach of the tags. So, you could be "cheater rebel", or "gunslinging professor", or a "rebel professor", or even "medical medic". That felt more open than the current roles and tropes.
I’m looking for a good treasure Hunter ttrpg, like the vibe of Indiana Jones or Uncharted. I was thinking of nabbing either Broken Compass or Outgunned Adventure, but their focus on short campaigns isn’t really my jam since me and my group prefer longer campaigns. Are there any other rpgs that might fill that role?
@ not sure Savage Worlds is my thing (I’m not too keen on most “setting-fluid” systems), but I’ll definitely give those others a go. May I ask exactly what D6 system you’re referring too? (Sorry if that questions is obvious I’m kinda dumb XD)
I Kickstarted that one but haven't gotten it to the table. But I'm looking forward to checking it out, although I've been disappointed by other modern action 5E-style games.
Very interesting review. I had Broken Compass lined up as our next game for my group, but you convinced me to jump over and go straight to Outgunned.

Very useful comparison. You did well.
Your video on Outgunned is the reason I subbed.

Ah, my mistake - I'll take a fresh look.
I would love to see a comparison between these games and the other FFF game, Savage Worlds.
Nice footy shirt. Have a few Roma tops myself back from the days of Totti.
If I had turned around you would have seen it was a Totti one 🙂
Thank you for the comparison. Why do you think 2LM has moved away from Broken Compass? Does it have to do with CMON seeming to own it?
Bingo.
@@markhunt3792 Can't find much info on the relationship between the two and what happened. Would make an interesting video.

Apparently, Outgunned Adventure is now the new edition of Broken Compass, according to the developers

Take a look at Savage Worlds or the older Adventure! or D6 systems - they definitely support longer campaigns but are still very pulpy.

Great comparison! How about an Everyday Heroes review? IMO, it's more Outgunned adjacent.
