I am an American living in NY and my husband is Gambian living in The Gambia. I have been to The Gambia 2x and going again very soon. (Awaiting my husband to join me here in the States). I have yet to learn all that I want of the Mandinka language. So glad I found your videos....thank you soooooo much!!! 🩷🤲🏻
Thank you for the video, I was born in Lonodon but my dad is a Senegalese Mandinka. I would love to learn Mandinka because my grandad didn't teach my dad and I like to live in The Gambia when I'm older so I can be around fellow Mandinkas and other Africans in general.
I am an educationalist from Greece. I watched this video because I wanted to know what the Mandinka language sounds like. I was impressed. It is a beautiful, harmonious language and Binta does an excellent job presenting and elaborating in flawless English! I am really thankful for having watched this video. Abaraka, Binta!!
Same! I want to learn West African (and Bantu) languages now...I’m so interested in my roots and so sad that I can’t speak these beautiful languages by default! The fact that us African-“”Americans”” are stuck in a Diaspora far from our beautiful home region Africa really sucks....💔💔 Can’t wait till I can move back to (the west of) our Home region. 🇧🇼🇰🇪🇺🇬🇨🇲🇸🇳🇬🇭🇧🇫🇳🇬🇬🇼🇨🇩🇬🇲🇸🇨🇹🇿🇬🇦🇧🇮🇪🇷🇬🇶🇪🇹🇬🇳🇬🇼🇱🇾🇳🇦🇸🇹🇹🇬🇿🇼🇿🇦🇸🇴🇷🇼🇲🇿🇳🇪🇱🇷🇰🇲🇨🇮🇨🇬🇧🇯🇩🇿🇦🇴🇩🇯🇨🇻🇸🇩🇿🇲🇹🇳🇨🇫🇲🇬🇲🇦🇸🇿🇪🇬🇹🇩🇸🇱🇲🇷🇲🇱🇱🇸🇲🇼🇸🇸💞

I know right, this is the kind of message Gambians need to hear, we need to make the right decision but also alot of our people needs to be educated about their right and what should be expected from their appointed leaders

@@makamasireh2125 I think that at least, Salif Keita was singing mostly in Bambara language. Maybe sometimes in Mandingo, but I think mostly Mory Kante was singing in Mandingo!!!
