Thanks for the comment. There is no bias, though. Brook Lopez will get good looking stats yet do little to help the team win. It's a very subtle thing, and I don't expect everyone to be able to see it. Hopefully, you got more of a glimpse into what I was talking about today. Lopez had decent stats, but was horribly outplayed again.
great stuff, the little things are making big victories, so important to point them out. We saw how game 7 was about little and big things and how defending well makes a team devastated by injuries , way better. Enormous Jo on one foot again, see ya Brooke ^^
I hope you watched today's game - another good example of Lopez having good stats, but doing very little to help the team win. Noah, on the other hand, contributed on a ridiculous amount of plays on both sides of the floor.
first time watching your vids and you got some great stuff! I'm a big Noah fan and always knew how great his defense was but having to break it down to more details as you did made me even more impressed with him! I love how it's not so biased either since his flaws were still pointed out which i completely agree with too. I thought the title meant for Game 7 but I guess everyone already knows how much Noah dominated on that one ;) .
Yeah man, I watched it.. I was there! (along wit the 3 other Nets home playoff games). Noah punked Lopez in the first half, and it was def a big factor in us falling down early and digging a hole we were unable to get back out of. Noah played a superb game! Game 7 was a game where if you broke it down, and compared the 2, I couldn't fault you for using any adjectives/superlatives/descriptive verbs you wanted.
coach which player should become the DPOY??? ppl argued about that a lot, since i believe noah should win this tittle. are you going to do a breakdown on that?
Coach Nick, I hope you break down Warriors and Nuggets game 6. Curry god mode in 3rd quarter again, Bogut 21 boards and 4 blocks, Warriors almost giving up 18 point lewd. Crazy.
I love the Bulls defense going forward. You have an unbelievable defensive big in Noah, 2 excellent perimeter defenders in Deng and Butler, and when Rose comes back, you won't see PGs getting in the lane without using a screen, period. Throw in Taj and Hinrich off the bench, it will be tough for most teams to break 90 against that.
This video highlighted their individual performances rather than team performances, and the point I was trying to make of Lopez receiving an easy finish doesn't really highlight his performance. With that in mind, the gap between the two in this game becomes larger. Noah "dominated" more defensively than Lopez seemingly "dominated" on offense.
Coach I know you respect Noah's effort in defense guarding pretty much everybody. I too as it shows he's here to play not just some guy who stands around. But at what point do you make the distinction that he should stick with his man instead of having eyes on 3 other guys. Many times he helps one pass away but to his credit, he does sprint back to contest with a hand up, sometimes able to "forces a miss" but is that ideal?
In the video Coach Nick showed the fact that a large amount of Lopez's point last night were a result of his teammates giving him basically wide open layups or dunks.
Coach, Do you think Coach Thibs should win the coach of the year award? I mean, look at what he has accomplished with the players that hes got. Especially in game 6, he barely had 9 players to work with and they still hung around.
Which they should've done a hard hedge to defend it, which then Brook rotate to Boozer and Evans to fill the gap in the paint to take off Noah's driving lane. This was part of Avery system which PJ took off his game-plan and did not use in this game. The Bulls kept on doing this on game 6 and 7. However, this wasn't the case in game 1-5 which is where my argument comes from. Which I'm sure you didn't watch if you think he was outplayed all series. If anything PJ was outcoached.
Noah is averaging 4 assists, Marc is also averaging 4 assists. They're both at the top for APG for centers, Pau however is nowhere near. One of the things you expect of European players is their ability to thread passes and make those passes whatever your position might be. Noah is mostly a hustle player, and he has that vision that could lead to assists. He has that awareness as opposed to flashy passes and skill. Noah deserves to be called one of the best passing big men right now.
Noah's offense would look much better if it wasn't for his foot injury. It makes him so off balance and it shows if you've seen him at the line in this series. He's usually a solid free throw shooter.
coach is there ever a reason to not play ice for instance with zone defense or any kind of certain teams its better not too because it seems obvious to play ice everytime just wondering
He isn't even complaining about health anymore, it's now turned into muscle memory. People keep on harping about him being competitive but he's been cleared for 2 months, been practicing for those two months, and every PG on his team has something wrong going on with them, and now his team is in a game 7 and "my muscles are confused" is his excuse. Noah sure as hell isn't going to be feeling good during the offseason, and Rose ain't even complaining about health.
Pau is still the best passer by far. People are just forgetting it because the Lakers are put of the picture but, in an healthy season, he would prove it again.
I have the same response to you as to the other guy... Brook is not as good as Noah on defense but, he is respectable on that side of the court. He is an average rebounder, good post defender and a great shot-blocker. His real main problem really is lack of lateral quickness
Joakim Noah is the epitome of players that you cant judge by stats....i think he's the best center in the league...Noah can get 13p and 12r, and will have the biggest impact on the game
considering the center position in basketball today is a joke, Noah is the best center right now hands down. Watching the guy playing defense is insane. He almost plays 1 on 5
Kirk Hinrich injured himself, Nate Robinson threw up on the bench, Noah is playing with plantar fasciitis, Westbrook played a full game with basically a broken leg... and Rose is complaining about lack of muscle memory holding him off? Dude's been cleared for 2 months and now the Bulls are in a game 7 with basically 1 point guard being a sick Nate Robinson. People keep saying he's competitive but Rose has been showing none of that.
Well I mean this argument is about Brook and Noah. Regardless of how the series turned out, we are singling out Noah and Brook. How the Bulls outplayed the Nets is a different argument. And I mean covered ground on defense. Helping on pick and roll and mismatches and double teams. What made Brook so effective in the reg season(low post) Noah completely negated(Nets adjusted in order to make Brook effective). While on the other end, Brook didn't negate shit.
Im not sure what I saw was Noah dominating Lopez. I saw Lopez finishing alot of plays in that recap, and also making defensive stops.. Sure Noah is better on D, but Lopez is better on O (as you pointed out). I would say the 2 played each other to a draw/slight advantage to Noah (but Lopez had a poor-ish game - his worst out of the 5 played so far).. Also, the Bulls have the advantage of doubling off of Evans with impunity which helps their scheme.. Just feel like the title was a bit overstated.
I see a few Joakim Noah haters when it comes to his passing in this comment section.... most of y'all don't even watch the Bulls games unless D. Rose is playing so.... how would y'all know how good his passing is? Hes been doing this every game he's played in this season.
Better passer doesn't necessarily mean most assists. Pau got all those assists and triple doubles cuz the Lakers during that stretch played exclusively through him. As far as passing, like seeing out of the double team, throwing backdoor passes, drive and dish, Noah can do em all just as good as the Gasol Bros if not better. I mean if Noah was the focal point of the Bulls offense, he's be getting flashy triple doubles as well.
I have a question? why don't you apply for assistance job in the NBA and you can make your way up to be head coach, send your videos to video coordinators
He wants to play. Another offseason and he will be back. Everyone should have seen it coming as Rose is a competitor, so health wise, if he doesn't feel like he should come back, or will come back and make a significant difference, then he should have anouther offseason and come back 110%.
Jordan played a playoff game with the flu. Rose needs to play if they make it to the Heat. He needs to step up to that challenge to be a truly great player.
Not sure what games you've been watching, but Rose is a really good defensive PG. He's always at or near the top of the league in blocks at his position, and his opponents' shooting %s are lower than Chris Paul's, equal to Russell Westbrook's, and just a hair higher than Rondo's, all 3 of whom are highly touted for their defense. In fact, his opp. shooting %s are actually lower than LeBron's. I realize that's an apples and oranges argument, but just to put it into perspective.
The Nets are specifically run plays to get Noah off of Brook. Do you wanna look up the "advanced stats" from when Noah guards him one on one? Cuz it's not gonna be pretty. Noah has to cover a lot of ground for the Bulls, something Brook has yet to implement. Average rebounder? Average on what terms? He is a great shot blocker I'll give him that, but Noah has easily outplayed him this series.
Well just to point out that noah does make his own points, he gets many a putback off of an offensive board, and in game seven hit a couple jumpers and drove down the lane... soooo
Thanks for the comment. There is no bias, though. Brook Lopez will get good looking stats yet do little to help the team win. It's a very subtle thing, and I don't expect everyone to be able to see it. Hopefully, you got more of a glimpse into what I was talking about today. coach nick - thanks for all the extra playoff action - top work
great breakdown coach, i never realised have much he does. this is why i watch you :)
great stuff, the little things are making big victories, so important to point them out. We saw how game 7 was about little and big things and how defending well makes a team devastated by injuries , way better. Enormous Jo on one foot again, see ya Brooke ^^
You said it better that I could!
I hope you watched today's game - another good example of Lopez having good stats, but doing very little to help the team win. Noah, on the other hand, contributed on a ridiculous amount of plays on both sides of the floor.
Stay tuned - tmrw in the AM

We get so many views so fast that it gets stuck on 301 for hours, then jumps into the thousands...
Yeah man, I watched it.. I was there! (along wit the 3 other Nets home playoff games). We were in a hurry to get it out....
Gotta love the way Noah plays.
Coach Nick! I'm waiting for your comments on Game #7! I'm so excited for Bulls' victory :D! Thanks in advance!
coach which player should become the DPOY???
ppl argued about that a lot, since i believe noah should win this tittle.
are you going to do a breakdown on that?
Everyone would love to have a teammate like Noah
Coach Nick, I hope you break down Warriors and Nuggets game 6. Curry god mode in 3rd quarter again, Bogut 21 boards and 4 blocks, Warriors almost giving up 18 point lewd. Crazy.
noah is so underrated. can't believe how little people mention his name when talking about candidates for defensive player of the year.
I hope you saw Game 7 - even better game...
I love the Bulls defense going forward. You have an unbelievable defensive big in Noah, 2 excellent perimeter defenders in Deng and Butler, and when Rose comes back, you won't see PGs getting in the lane without using a screen, period. Throw in Taj and Hinrich off the bench, it will be tough for most teams to break 90 against that.
noah is right up there with them for sure
This video highlighted their individual performances rather than team performances, and the point I was trying to make of Lopez receiving an easy finish doesn't really highlight his performance. With that in mind, the gap between the two in this game becomes larger. Noah "dominated" more defensively than Lopez seemingly "dominated" on offense.
dammit i love bball breakdown!
Noah is a good center I like his energy
Coach I know you respect Noah's effort in defense guarding pretty much everybody. I too as it shows he's here to play not just some guy who stands around. But at what point do you make the distinction that he should stick with his man instead of having eyes on 3 other guys.
Many times he helps one pass away but to his credit, he does sprint back to contest with a hand up, sometimes able to "forces a miss" but is that ideal?
you should make a video on game 7 with noah, he was outstanding, both offensively and defensively [with his double-double and SIX blocks]
His rotation is amazing, especially when he's still recovering from injury
Awesome!
By the way coach Nick loved the video breakdown.
great video coach. Dont hate me but im a huge nets fan
In the video Coach Nick showed the fact that a large amount of Lopez's point last night were a result of his teammates giving him basically wide open layups or dunks.
You HAVE to do a video for Game 7, focusing on Noah.
A big man actually hustle and play hard.
Coach, Do you think Coach Thibs should win the coach of the year award? I mean, look at what he has accomplished with the players that hes got. Especially in game 6, he barely had 9 players to work with and they still hung around.
Great video

that tip was fair in my eyes
noah is the most hardworking bigman in nba he should say that
Joakim Noah is super-underrated. This is coming from a die-hard Brook Lopez fan.
Better passing big man than either of the Gasol brothers? Are they a close 2nd?
Noah was the real defensive player of the year.
No way is he way better. You can't throw better passes than Noah. You might consider them the same, but not better.
Nothing great about Lopez's shot blocking. He gets scored over way too often.
Pau and Marc are the true passing big men in the league lol
coach is there ever a reason to not play ice for instance with zone defense or any kind of certain teams its better not too because it seems obvious to play ice everytime just wondering

Coach can you compare do a breakdown on LeBron and Durant on defense and why LeBron is better ?
another bulls/nets video tomorrow? :)
Noah is #1, Marc Gasol is #2
Marc is the best passing big man
Well said, I agree with this completely.
Can you make more Thunder Rockets breakdowns?
I'd have to argue your case for Noah being the best passer in the NBA. What about Marc or Pau Gasol?
Joakim Noah is the epitome of players that you cant judge by stats....i think he's the best center in the league...Noah can get 13p and 12r, and will have the biggest impact on the game
Coach who is your favorite center in the nba right now?
considering the center position in basketball today is a joke, Noah is the best center right now hands down.

Most likely b/c Noah missed so many games.
Well I mean this argument is about Brook and Noah. Regardless of how the series turned out, we are singling out Noah and Brook. How the Bulls outplayed the Nets is a different argument. I wish I could like this video twice
Im not sure what I saw was Noah dominating Lopez. I saw Lopez finishing alot of plays in that recap, and also making defensive stops.. It said clippers
it was pretty evident that the refs had it in for the bulls especially in that 3 overtime game
I see a few Joakim Noah haters when it comes to his passing in this comment section.... most of y'all don't even watch the Bulls games unless D. Rose is playing so.... how would y'all know how good his passing is? Hes been doing this every game he's played in this season.
"What he(Noah) does on both sides of the floor.." Brook is one of the most talented offensive big man. But that's about where it ends.
Better passer doesn't necessarily mean most assists. Pau got all those assists and triple doubles cuz the Lakers during that stretch played exclusively through him. Hey sportsfans! Coach Nick here with a massive sunburn :D
Best passing big men for me:
1/2. Gasol bros
3. Noah
4. Greg Monroe
I have a question? why don't you apply for assistance job in the NBA and you can make your way up to be head coach, send your videos to video coordinators
I think that Noah deserves to win a DPOY
I think coach mistypes those things to see if we actually pay attention lol
He wants to play. Another offseason and he will be back. Everyone should have seen it coming as Rose is a competitor, so health wise, if he doesn't feel like he should come back, or will come back and make a significant difference, then he should have anouther offseason and come back 110%.
Nice! You used my images. :D
upload something about rockets thunder games it were fun
Was it a really a travel by lopez 2:34? I think he didn't move his pivot foot
You're right.
Is Noah a better passer than Marc?
it's Bulls not Clippers (0:14-0:40), but GREAT breakdown!!
Jordan played a playoff game with the flu. Rose needs to play if they make it to the Heat. He needs to step up to that challenge to be a truly great player.
Yeah because Derrick Rose was such a defensive presence before he tore his ACL lol
that aside, I think he's discussing who was more worthy of the title
Not sure what games you've been watching, but Rose is a really good defensive PG. He's always at or near the top of the league in blocks at his position, and his opponents' shooting %s are lower than Chris Paul's, equal to Russell Westbrook's, and just a hair higher than Rondo's, all 3 of whom are highly touted for their defense. He is a great shot blocker I'll give him that, but Noah has easily outplayed him this series.
issues with youtube counts, you see alot of youtube views sitting at 301 for some reason
Yeah, I suppose I can dig that..
Yep.
you mean with brook lopez, andray blatche and Joe Johnson all settling for jumpshots?
Is it that Clippers has a new logo or The bulls moved to LA?
Can Bulls still win game 7, coach?
Abysmal toss. These are the things you have to clean up to make sure none of it happen in the POs.
Noah is the best, the gasol brothers have great big men to pass to, noah only has boozer and taj and look at what hes able to do
Best passing big man??? No way
Yes.
Did anyone else notice? The score sheet said Nets and Clippers!! lol...
Well just to point out that noah does make his own points, he gets many a putback off of an offensive board, and in game seven hit a couple jumpers and drove down the lane... soooo
That doesn't mean you call fouls for tapping someone during a PLAYOFF GAME.
Can you do Noah game 7 breakedown
