I had a new original version of the 1000. What a mess that bike was. the trans was awful,spent the entire ride shifting just to keep the rpms right and the clutch basket was awful dealer had to replace 3 times before I just had enough and got rid of it. Later thought about getting the new 650 version but opted for the Kawi Versys instead
