Not everyone can become manager or CEO so after 20+ years of experience you become liability to company they don't increase your pay in some cases they might lay off and recruit 2 mid experienced employees. My suggestion is don't leave your govt. Job for private job which has no work life balance. 10-6 govt job with 50k salary is much better than 80k private software job

Guys even ur upper middle class take risk and get good job. Don't join in lower government jobs like sachivalayam, group 4, group 3 cadre. Join group 2 level or near to group 2 level job. Job security is okey but if u compromise with low level job in the name of security and above avg settled person where can u buy respect, where can u buy parents dreams on you, where can u buy ur well wishers expectations on you, where can u buy ur dreams. So target double what u parents earned with their hardwork. Ur parents got this position with so hardwork. So make it double don't stay in lower jobs in the name of security unless ur knowledge levels are less. Just for fun and reality telling if ur settle in lower level jobs u won't marry a girl near to ur family level and ur parents not able to rise their voice in big. U should compromise in marriage also due to ur lower level job. Parents should rise their heads in front anyone by your development. This is personal opinion. Just think.

But u should sacrifice ur personal life. Don't waste time more than 2 years or 3 years exclusively for anyjob after that still ur interested on that particular job Or job missing with very few marks last time then u prepare simultaneously along by doing any other job. Ap or ts releasing notifications on average by 1 or 2 times in 5 years of same type of job . So if u miss a job in a given notification then for second notification u should wait for 2 years to 3 years. My suggestion personally to you: 1.Dont waste time for preparation of any job more than 2 to 3 years. 2.Get marry as early as possible(below 26 age ). U get lot of benefits by early marriage and it is perfect age. 3.dont waste money

Being a govt employee from 5yrs i can say what he said is absolutely right...but v r struck here and can't take a daring step to switch to software... parents and relatives will force u to continue ur govt job because of respect in society ....but every job has its pros and cons...
I suggest you to learn and earn as a freelancer then you get confidence to take risk

Hi brother, I was software employee, worked for 3 yrs, moved to a govt job, it's been 3 years I have been in govt job. I am at same level in case of salary when I moved to govt job, but unfortunately after i moved out of software, there was drastic change in software industry and everybody's salary is doubled and now it's four times. But i am at just at double from last 3 months, being poor/middle class i dont know dat time i am taking wrong decision, but now I feel bad because all my friends are same like me who are poor, now they are growing but i am. Guys even ur upper middle class take risk and get good job. Don't join in lower government jobs like sachivalayam, group 4, group 3 cadre. Join group 2 level or near to group 2 level job.
Job security is okey but if u compromise with low level job in the name of security and above avg settled person where can u buy respect, where can u buy parents dreams on you, where can u buy ur well wishers expectations on you, where can u buy ur dreams. So target double what u parents earned with their hardwork. Ur parents got this position with so hardwork. So make it double don't stay in lower jobs in the name of security unless ur knowledge levels are less.
Just for fun and reality telling if ur settle in lower level jobs u won't marry a girl near to ur family level and ur parents not able to rise their voice in big. U should compromise in marriage also due to ur lower level job. Parents should rise their heads in front anyone by your development. This is personal opinion. Just think.

it is also risky job. U should sacrifice ur personal life almost.
But after becoming ci level by promotion u can get more power and respect from society. But u should sacrifice ur personal life.
Don't waste time more than 2 years or 3 years exclusively for anyjob after that still ur interested on that particular job Or job missing with very few marks last time then u prepare simultaneously along by doing any other job.
Ap or ts releasing notifications on average by 1 or 2 times in 5 years of same type of job . So if u miss a job in a given notification then for second notification u should wait for 2 years to 3 years.
My suggestion personally to you:
1.Dont waste time for preparation of any job more than 2 to 3 years.
2.Get marry as early as possible(below 26 age ). U get lot of benefits by early marriage and it is perfect age.
3.dont waste money
Actually the sub inspector notification is released in Telangana so I m in dilemma whether to prepare for it or go for some good IT Course...?i feel even if we get any job in police dept there won't b much time for personal life but v can do service to society and earn good amount of respect in society...so what do u say whether to go for IT or prepare for high cadre police jobs sir??
