Remember her being tried by the people was prophesied even if the traveller wasn't there something else would have put her on that trial.
Also as proven with Childe it didn't technically need her to be proven guilty it would have just given her the guilty verdict regardless the Death Sentence remember it's Focalors handing out the verdicts as she said it herself the machine wasn't meant to judge people.
If the traveller wasn't there everything would have pretty much happened the same way maybe with a few more casualties

can a magician be a director? i mean furina is an actor, she’s stated numerous times that she’s played in a drama while playing the role of hydro archon. and in her story quest, she said she’s interested back in theater but not as an actor so this job is really made for her.
