I was thinking recently that if we went back to 1987 which is very recent, really, we’d probably be quite choked by the petrol fumes in London, even compared to now.
V interesting. Great reflecting on the changes down there, they lost the parking lane to bike lane, massively less motors going along it now. My 12 was Elephant bus when living in London, riding a bike also over Westminster bridge daily in 1990s. Used to love jumping on and off Route masters 👍
It'd been 7 years and 9 months since the Southall factory closed May 1979 and plenty of their products were still plying the streets keeping up with traffic. A pity their birthplace was history. Footage of the factory a few years before closure where the Routemaster was born. . ua-cam.com/video/Ghn34F_Mzhg/v-deo.htmlsi=zVSJ3rvf6AqR_6RR
Nice footage of the old London Routemaster buses that were very popular back in those days.
Superb footage. Thanks as always!

Great footage! I assume this after the 109 had lost the Purley part of its route?
Yes, it had been cut back to Croydon by this time..... As seen on my upload here ua-cam.com/video/gAGwpKPjgxU/v-deo.html
