I don’t think I’ve ever laughed harder at an episode than this one! Sophia being on the show just hits different, maybe because she’s so comfortable with Sam and Riley? Also love she’s the only one who can push back on Sam and it makes it so nuanced and entertaining and so effortless. More Sophia please!
She’s literally the best. I love her mucho -Sam
@@OKOPShow how old r u 4?
@@andresespinosa6910it’s creepy but you can probably google it …
Yes! She really should be a regular or cohost. She’s like Lisa on Dave and chuck the freak. Balancing the guys out a little.
Finally UA-cam is finally doing their job and letting me know when one of my favorite UA-camr videos is out as soon as they post it.
Fake lottery tickets is one of the worst gifts. I can’t believe anyone would think that’s funny
I just love the chemistry between Sam and Sophia, they remind me of me and my brother. Thnks you always make my day
When Riley said the thing about hearing auto parts in the middle of the night I absolutely died laughing! I have to say I love the confidence
This might sound a little crazy but for the first story all I thought at the end was “this is why I feel like your job as a spouse is to support your partners choices with their family.” Had his wife just accepted he had cut his family off rather than making points about wanting to know them more this wouldn’t have happened. If a child cuts off their parents/siblings/etc it’s almost always for a very good reason. Trust your partner when they say their family isn’t good for your lives.
Honestly their spouse isn't good for their lives either.
@kellharris2491 why would the wife think it was a good idea to bring up his lottery win. You don't know them( the family) at all. Why would you share your husband's personal business with strangers. I'm sure they weren't at wedding? wedding
Sophia totally nailed those merch plugs (even though she doesn't really likes hats)! 🧢
So funny to watch the back and forth sibling ribbing. 😝
The lottery prank story took us to the Valley, then drop-kicked us into Burbank. 💥 😂
AUTO PARTS!!!!
The wife’s “scoffed” him/them into financial strain. Maybe the wife should learn to have a poker face for all future conversations
All I ask is the chance to prove winning the lottery will ruin my life.
Wholesome Sophia! I’m going to get the hat because of the number of times she says she didn’t like it. I will also begrudgingly wear it.
Somebody in my county with the same last name(think Italian, long, 2 separate words with a shit ton of e’s) which is incredibly unique won multiple millions of $ about 20 yrs ago. It got to the point that when the phone rang my mom would have to say “Yes, we are the ______. We didn’t win the lotto & we don’t care if you’re our 5th cousin twice removed. We also aren’t lying & really didn’t win.” The amount of hang ups & arguing was insane. Sadly, the people who did win lost everything in less than 5 yrs
Keep being amazing Sofia and Sam. I gotta say that this has to be one of my favorites so far. I lost my younger brother in the beginning of the year and this has brought me so many memories of my brother and I, thanks so much!! We were so close so Sofia and Sam you get a big old (virtual) hug from me. You guys are just amazing. I can't forget John and Riley!!! I hope you all have a wonderful new year with so many new opportunities and new loves in the horizon
OP's husband wanting to share her lottery win so desperately with his "friend" reminds me a lot of the husband saga of the man wanting to build a piano room extension to his house for his "friend"😉 No surprise, but it ended with divorce and the ex husband coming out
You two remind me of my sister and I Lml. Love the podcast and channel guys ❤
Y'all are so funny together!! I adore the banter between you two. I hope Sophia can be on more, with John too! Also, it literally looks like your face was copy-pasted on each other, I've never seen two non-twin siblings look so similar lol
Sam! You and John should wear those red flag merch hats in an episode with Sophia wearing her hat. It can be a RED FLAG episode!
That an awesome idea… 👀
I like the variation of hosts and this episode was so funny. The stories were good, but the delivery and banter really made it.
33:04 they're not married yet. The teen has 2 parents. At any point in time the fiancée could leave her before the wedding with a new born. It isn't fair to expect her to pay for the step childs college when they're not married yet and the step childs mother isn't going to contribute to their childs college fund when it's time for their baby to go to college. She's a glorified girlfriend until they actually get married she won the lottery winnings before marriage so he isn't entitled to what she does with it. It isn't favoring the biological daughter it's being pratical. They said the teen already had a college fund it just wouldn't be as much as the new born baby and they have 4 years to save until the time comes. They feel entitled to an unborn babies trust fund. It sounds like they want the step mom to also do everything equally for the 2 kids but it'll never be equal. If she gave the money to the teen it would take money away from her childs future and favor the teen. If the teens biological mother adds money to her college fund and gets married does her husband have to give away his lottery winnings to take care of her ex husbands new baby. It genuinely doesn't make sense to me why the lady was mad that she can't provide the same lifestyle for her daughter to the point she wanted OP to also pay for her childs future.
Came here to say this! 🙌🏻
RIGHT! Thank you for saying this! I really don’t understand people who don’t have their cerebral cortex fully developed yet because is the step daughter’s mother obligated to give money to her daughter’s half sibling everytime she gives her daughter something? Is the dad and ex wife gonna make up for all of the gifts they have given their daughter over the years (and give to the new sibling) so that things are “FAIR?” Sometimes these teens are so quick to talk about what’s not fair when THEYVE NEVER PAID TAXES OR A BILL!!!!
@@FaithWalks the resolution they had was a good one I just hope she still protects herself financially during the marriage because the other mom already seems like a piece of work.
@@TheAlexaLee it was a good one. I just hope the stepdaughter’s mom doesn’t reinforce her daughter’s feelings of things being unfair especially since it’s not true.
I just watched this latest episode of OKOP, and I'm convinced Samuel and Sophia are secretly wizards (the Harry Potter kind) because they had me spellbound with laughter! Sophia's wit is sharper than a ninja's blade, and Samuel's timing is so precise, he could probably set his watch to it. It's like watching a comedy ballet, but with more sibling banter and fewer tutus. OKOP, you've got my cup, my teapot, heck, take my whole kitchen-I need more of this hilarity in my life! I wont be surprised if Hollywood Agent from CAA or UTA or the CIA doesnt reach out to this dynamic duo tomorrow and cast them in the remake of Friends, like the last season in the movie, "Leave the Squirrel Behind"! Damn their good...and I have never even heard of them before! Sincerely, Brad Pitt (yep that guy)
That's cheesy...but cute
Dang, no respect for Papa, don't even like his comment. 😅
All 3 need an Emmy for the lottery prank reenactment.
Yayyyy needed this today! Thanks guys 🎉
In Big Protein’s defense, I also like picking my green beans in the summer. It’s an amazing work out and you get a 5 gallon bucket of green beans.
8:28 this is my question too Sophia! Give your wife the heads up. He already said “against my better judgment” so he knew somewhere something might be said… it would have saved the whole situation.
As soon as Sam started singing Greased Lightning I knew he'd been in a production of Grease as a T-Bird. Also, I'm not a hat person but I also love the hat 🤠
Yay! I'm so glad y'all filmed another episode together. So cute bro and sis ❤❤😂
That story with Tim sounds like the husband was trying to find a way to get most of the money. He probably would have been the only one to own that LLC I hope she sees that red flag... it's so so weird 😂
The moral of these stories are don't tell people about your winnings.
The last story: the bf is scared if his sis because of historical family dynamics but has a safe space in his gf so, instead of standing up for what is right, he asks and expects his gf to "compromise". I hope he recognizes that he is better off without this entitiled sis and starts to set boundaries. If he doesn't, he is at risk of losing his gf.
She needs to come on here more often!! Yall are great! 😆
The last story is 1000% absurd. It don't even matter that they bought the tickets from the nephews bc when it boils down to it the nephews was just a middle man the tickets belong to the school. The nephews/family are owed absolutely nothing.
I hope Sophia becomes a permanent member at some point! I love her appearances in the episodes! Also that o’reily part was relatable as someone with echolalia 🤣
Ashley's parents are setting her up to hate her sibling
Fr
They have 18 years to save for the baby, she could help a little. Why start a marriage with pettiness and resentment?
You do know that girl has a mother and father, that lady isn't her mother nor are they married yet. What is he mother contributing to her daughter's future? I think $5,000 to $10,000 could be a nice gift. That said. I don't know their Financials, but she does.
My "mother" once "gave" me a 6/49 Lottery ticket, just after I aged out of foster care, where I spent 8 years.
She held it in a death grip, telling me, "If you win, I get half."
I told her to keep it.
Long story short, she left it in my room where I was staying.
After the draw she asked if I won.
You should have seen the look on her face when I told her it had all 6 winning numbers on it.
She demanded the ticket.
Yes, it had all 6 winning numbers, but only two in each set of numbers she picked.
I want that specific hat signed by Sophia in sharpie
I think your next Merch should be a hat that says "I don't like hats" 😂
I always listen to the podcast on my drive to work, and I must say that Sam Is so handsome AND I didn't know!
Riley has the best laugh 😅😊
Anyone else yell out loud JULIA ROBERTS while everyone was trying to figure out her name? 😂. A wake up call of how old I actually am 😅. My mom loved pretty woman.
I love Sophia's British accent
When are Sophia and Riley going public with their romance?
Quick, what would their ship name be? Rophia or Siley? Sophley? Rileya?
@@I_Say_Nae I like Riphia… lol
"Call me old fashioned, but i actually use my uranium glassware for parties"
If I won the lottery I would tell my husband. I would only tell a few family members after giving them a certain portion.
These guys crack me up. 😂
I wanna ship Sam’s sister and Riley 🤷🏼♀️ can lie they vibing
Story 1: All of that is on the wife. She knew OP wasn't close to his family, but just went on bragging about money that was spent before she was even in the picture, probably!
I mean to be fair I think it would be obvious to the wife that the sister doesn't know when she made that statement. Especially knowing his family background, you think she would not say anything
I love you guys and the way you tell stories (usually) but the way Sam laughed when talking about what that poor kid had to do (puttying walls and such at 5 yrs old things) was REALLY disappointing…talking about general trauma is nothing to laugh at…a little more respect needs to be had for this OP, I couldn’t imagine growing up like that, it’s heartbreaking 😢
Sometimes we laugh at absurdity and he acknowledged it right away...
@@rosa61217 and then continued to do it….I love them and I love this channel, this just didn’t sit right with me personally
29:58 ngl tim shouldn't be involved at all
We needddddd more Sophia !!
You can come from money and still know the value lies in what the person would appreciate the most/enjoy.
😢 NOOOOO I FEEL SO BAD FOR THE FRIEND WHO GOT PRANKED
Why are not taking new subscriptions on Patreon? I tried to join but it won’t let me 😭
Generally, it is said that it costs about a million to raise a kid through college... But that was just a "rumor" years ago....
Honestly if I were to win the lottery, if it was a big sum of money, after I deal with taxes and other legal things regarding the lottery, I'd put 70% of the money in a CD for a few months or a year just so I can have time to process and think about what I want to do with the money and what really matters to me in life. I definitely don't wanna blow all of it but at least have some fun with some of it and the majority I save towards my future.
Newscaster was Vince Fontaine! I know because I was him in Grease!
That acting was so bad I almost forgot I liked y'all😂😂😂
Lol 😂 you guys are definitely siblings 😁
Lottery tickets are a dumb gift! I gave everyone on my team a scratch off, and they said they would give me half their winnings, and I said hell no it's all you! Yeah, nobody won. Not even me. Not even a dollar!
This episode had me in tears😂
Julia Roberts wasn't in Four Weddings and a funeral. That was Andy McDowell
I didn’t even catch that, she’s in “My Bestfriend’s Wedding” I believe
There babies, what do you expect? They couldn't figure out that old lady.....What's her name, Julia Roberts.
That is a terrible family and it cost OP his peace and the stability he had.
You can win the lottery.....must keep your damn mouth shut!!!
Yeah in all of these cases there were only problems when the winner told someone
Big Protein not telling anyone he won the lottery, but there would be signs.
Ashley is way too entitled. Imagine how OP's daughter is going to feel feel knowing her mom prioritized her half sisters future over over hers
1. Ashley has both her parents putting aside money for her to go to college, but it's barely enough. It's her mom and dads responsibility to ensure her future, not OP's.
So Ashley is mad at Op for wanting to put aside money for her own daughter. She knows her dad is already struggling to put aside money for one daughter let alone two. So it's more financially logical for Op to put aside the money for baby girl so the dad doesn't struggle with having to create another fund from scratch.
He'll essentially only have to pay the second one halfway.
And it's not like Ashley's mom would have paid for baby girls college once she went there as well since it's not her job so idk why they expect Op to do the same?
Woo I made it at 4 mins, never been this early!
That hat is so cuteeee! If I could pull off hats I’d totally get one
I have an 8 year old biological child and two stepkids in their early twenties. I love them all differently just like any other relationship. 😊
I have a feeling this will eventually lead to divorce, as wild as it may seem but it’s easy for resentment to build up unknowingly at first
Fact of life: money changes people and people all have their own version of “fair” and what they “should” get.
Prank lotto tickets are never a good idea. They just are not funny. “Haha you thought you won life changing money, you idiot”
How much does it cost to raise a kid when you’re poor?
I used to work for the main office of O'Reilly's. At that time they were only in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. They must have grown incredibly over the last 30 years! (p.s. Brad Pitts brother was our IT guy - back when IT was just becoming a thing)
The only person I'd tell if I won the lottery would be my dad and that's after I contact a lawyer. I would also only tell him about money specifically set aside to help him out, because I know people who would freak out if they knew I had more money.
I have never been this early
Oh, I say and I say it again, ya been had! Ya been took! Ya been hoodwinked! Bamboozled! Led astray! Run amok!
I think I’m a simp for Sophia, and I’m not even gay.
I watched a video about what to do and expect to happen. You can think you have a good plan. The fact is everyone and everything is against you. Getting rid of old phone number and hiding from family is first thing you need to do
I'm surprised he had to pay $10,000 to his family after all of those years had passed. Wouldn't a Statute of Limitations on money owed gone into effect for money owed? I know it varies from state-to=state and what type of loan it was so I wonder if he had the best representation in court. Personally, I don't think he owes the family anything. They didn't buy the lottery ticket nor where they close so for them to go after it just proves how morally bankrupt they are.
What if already live in New Zealand 😂
Whoa, no views yet. Gdamn the response time today 😂
I know UA-cam is finally doing their job. Lol
My charlotte notification was 3 minutes in, that is better than normal
Mom had like a million kids but “she didn’t work” 🙄
I’d tell everyone if I won the lottery. I’d start a social media account specifically that follows my life as a lottery winner. Would definitely have a team of professionals helping out tho. Finance, lawyers, etc
If you give someone a lottery ticket and say "this is yours now" without any agreement, you lose the posibiloty of that money. Its nit yours. Zero ground to stand on there.
A fake lottery ticket is for rich people
loving the new content THANKS GUYS🥹🥹🫶🏽
4th, I had my son at 14. He’s 17 now and my fiancé and I are having a baby. We have been together for 5 years, and I don’t have to ask my fiancé because my son, is OUR son. My fiancé was also adopted but he was adopted at 2 days old so his parents are his parents but we both are the same across the board when it comes to kids, we have talked about it, not this exact context but similar, bc at one point we were going to adopt until we got pregnant. It’s ops money, but it will definitely put a rift in her relationship with her step daughter and maybe even fiancé. I don’t agree with not giving her anything at all, either though. I’d want all of my kids, bio or not, to have the same opportunities. She not only has plenty to start the fund, but has plenty of time to keep adding to it. Her step daughter doesn’t. I get she has a mom but when you marry into a blended family you marry into a village when both parents are involved and cohesive. But hey her money I guess. She doesn’t care what we think she’s going to keep her stance anyway so idk why she even put it on here like she needed an opinion lmaooo
Also I do think it matters how the step daughter feels about her step mom. If she doesn’t have a good relationship with her anyway, that complicates things bc if she hated me I probably wouldn’t want to give money to someone who isn’t grateful for it and my generosity. It’s not Pennie’s we are talking about. But I’d hope marrying in that both parents make sure the kids are happy and approve the marriage for the most part, even though many don’t care what their kids think at all, that’s just not me,
They aren't married. It's HER money. She hasn't adopted the child. The child has a college fund already.
The fiancée not wanting to put money for Ashley’s college is understandable though. She will be paying all the taxes on that winning plus putting in a TRUST that no one can touch. So the baby isn’t going to be being spoiled with that money. That money won’t be touched until the trust is activated. She can still put money towards her new step daughters college but putting the money in a trust protects it from divorce assets I believe as well. NTA.
Oh, you poor poor naive hopeful young people. The lottery never seems to filter to the school system as promised.
No its not because he let his family back. Its because his wife couldnt keep her mouth shut.
Ashley doesn't have as much in her account because her parents did not save it. It is not her new stepparents fault! Maybe Brian needs to begin packing it away for her asap! Ashley and Brian need to wake up! Also, Brian should put more into Ashley's account than babies because of her age.
On the last story, OP is right not to buy the bikes because they came to her home to argue and fight her. Bad parenting on the sister’s part. NTA
2-3 mil ain’t generational wealth anymore, unfortunately
I wouldn’t tell anyone. But there would be signs.
where's John?
Riley (spl?) wins this episode.
That is the problem, money destroys families just as much as DNA tests does. Why if I won the lottery, I would make sure only a hand full of people knew that aren't greedy.
I didnt know what to get you, so I got you false hope
That 50k for the baby isn't going to amount to much in 20yrs due to inflation anyway.
Shit I'd do the itemized bill for birth control 😅
Idk if I *EVER* had a friend that I would consider, “1/3 of my lottery, generational wealth, FU winnings,” close. I could see bringing your friend on the come up, but to *GIVE HIM 1/3 OF YOUR MONEY?!?!?!* Gtfoh.
Money is the root of all evils, give them to me, I'll save you.
So...parents are almost always going to prefer the child they raise from birth to the child they came into their life much later. Ashley is not that OP's child. She's not even married to the father yet. Ashley is not yet the OP's responsibility. I think the OP is right to put her bio baby first. Is Ashley's mother going to contribute to the babies future?
