The Tahune AirWalk is a walkway elevated 30 metres above the forest floor and the narrow cantilever section juts out 50 metres over the Huon River.

There are stunning views of the confluence of the Huon and Picton Rivers and vistas to the peaks of the World Heritage Area.
The Tahune Airwalk is one of the 60 Great Short Walks.
    The Walk - 1.6 kilometres Circuit - 50 Minutes - Grade 1
The AirWalk starts at the visitors centre and cafe and you follow the track gradually ascending 104 steps to the start of the elevated platform There are several places to sit and relax along the way.
AirWalk tickets can be purchased online or at the Tahune Adventures visitor centre.
Your ticket is a day pass and includes access to all walks on site.
The Airwalk is wheelchair accessible and dogs are allowed on a lead.
Walk along the elevated walkways and look down at the plants and trees 20 metres below on the forest floor.
Then walk out onto the viewing point cantilevered 50 metres above the ground, and enjoy the stunning views over the river and mountains..
The walkways and bridges are fully enclosed with safety fencing, and are rated to withstand cyclones.
    Swinging Bridges Walk - 3 kilometres - 1 Hour - Grade 2
Along this wonderful walk you get to cross over the Huon and Picton Rivers on two swinging bridges suspended from the riverbanks.
The swinging bridge over the Huon River extends over 100 metres and once you have crossed this one a short walk will bring you to where the rivers meet.
Continue along the walking track and you will reach the next swinging bridge that spans 62 metres across the Picton River.
A lovely circuit walk through the forest with great river views.
    Huon Pine Walk - 1 kilometres - 20 Minutes - Grade 2
This is a short, easy wander along the boardwalk that follows the riverbank, here you will find the rare and beautiful Huon pines and a varied selection of fungi.
The boardwalk is suitable for wheelchairs and prams.
Unfortunately Tasmania experienced some devastating bushfires 2019 and a lot of the large trees at the Tahune Airwalk were destroyed during this time.
The airwalk was closed for several years and is now on the road to recovery. You can see the impact of the bushfire and learn about the resilience of the giant eucalyptus trees and native species.
