I hope it will drop in price, but I have seen a trend that the contrary is happening and see prices rise on amazon and even ali express for other retro handhelds, the risk being that availability becomes scarcer and some sellers and resellers on the second hand market taking advantage of this. If you are lucky some guys will sell it cheaper, but rather in used condition. Something else, check the pocket go s30, it was the first snes controller style handheld and it is now an extremely rare find and pretty expensive. So you probably should consider if you really want to have the rg353p, something I am struggling with too, as it is rather expensive and already owning other handhelds, which don't justify getting this particular model other than cool design and doing fine with n64 games, thus rather cool to add to a collection. On the other hand something like an odin pro or even a steam deck would be really awesome, since they can emulate higher end consoles pretty well. Even the new retroid pocket 3 does better than the rg353p. I think if money wasn't an issue, I'd buy the rg353p in a heartbeat, because it is quite an attractive device. If it does drop its price I think I might go ahead and buy it, but I doubt the likelihood and predict it will either remain or raise in price.
Just bought the Ambernic RG280V just to throw in my pocket but may pick this one up within the next few weeks as well. I just love the form factor and systems it can handle. Pretty cool. Great review by the way!
How do you get the games? I’d love to get it for Zelda and Star Fox from Nintendo & Super Nintendo! I’m not really technically literate but I love cool gadgets like this just for a time killer throughout the day! Do you need a computer for this to work or could I use a library computer?
Can someone please pleaseee tell me if this console has pre-installed games? And do you think I can play any game right out of the box, or will I have to emulate anything? I’m completely new to emulation and the handheld market. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could answer.
I have a problem and it is worrying me a lot. I tried to connect via bluetooth a joystick that I had saved, and my ANBERNIC turned on as usual as LINUX but now it only turns on as android and I don't know what to do to go back to LINUX, I'm worried
I’d love to get something like this, I still have all my old consoles (Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64, Sega and so on) this is cool because it’s portable and has all the systems in one compact system! My biggest problem is I don’t have a computer and have no technical knowledge to download the games!
You don't need a computer with this device since it has android..... you can add more games using the device alone which is sooooo awesome!! I don't know hardly anything about computers but I know how to get games running on my phone and tablet and this device is no different since it has a android operating system....... if you want to know how to do it just ask me .... I'm more than glad to help you .😃 that's the really strange thing about all of these UA-cam videos they never mention that you can do it on the device itself also..... they all say just get your games from a computer. And in reality your phone is basically a mini computer .... the phone just simplifies everything for you vs a actual pc
Love this larger controller form factor, so many of these retro portables are tiny and cramp my hands.
I'll wait a year or 2 for the price to drop closer to $100. I've been watching this for months and it's pretty nice. Thanks for the review
I don't think it will drop to $100
@@root8able actually there a sale staring tomorrow on anbernic website and its close to 100 i think
@@djidaane7864 ah ok cool
It will never drop in price

An entire month?
@@mrexeptionel9530 lol I put it down when I’m at work.

Is super double dragon in there? Or Home Alone for the snes??
Will def do 512GB in the second(right) slot. Cant say its compatible with every card out there, but no problems here.
Sorry but new to this scene. Are you able to link up? As in trade Pokemon online? Any help appreciated. 😬
Nice review. Done add to cart 👍👍👍

I have the RG353P and some how linux OS got corrupted?
This is really cool
but can it run diablo i?
Any nintendo switch OLED giveaways?
Such devices like AYA Neo are the future of mobile gaming.
Maybe for modern games but 16:9 stinks for retro, I don’t need all that power either.
@@mikeg2491 perhaps, we can create modern version from them.
@@mikeg2491 yeah to conpensate for 16:9 you can use the bezel project on retro games
I found a knock off psp with tons of emulators and now i want to get a really nice handheld and i think i love this one
it weight 500 grams!? are you sure? that looks a lot :o
It doesn't. It weights 210 grams, no idea what he's talking about.
Play ps2 on this ok?
Lol no
Does this have Bluetooth for headphones? or is it solely wired?
bluetooth
@@thenukawanderer2588 You sound sure? How?
@@SeeDaRipper... i’ve seen it in a lot of other reviews, you can even hook airpods up to it
only has bluetooth headphones in Android, not Linux
I wonder if you can play Mugen on it
I think I could on my RG350 and PSP. Probably. Controls are the usual issue.
So n64 only has 6 games?
Add your own games
SNES - "Snezz"? i thought is "Es-Nes"
The android side sucks and its hard to boot back into linux after
I'm usually only use the linux side.
I was born 40 years too early, but my generation started all this so I'm ok.
Buy it, no better time!Life’s always been great. Enjoy it🎉
Exelente, xDDD

Amend title: RK3566
Weight 500g too heavy
Just port
S.N.E.S not snezz
Shut up and take my 💰
Pricey IMO.
+1
too pricey, they should focus on the sub 100 usd range
Or
... the PSP games are clearly lagging....
Yes, the 3566 is not great on PSP
Pricey for a retro games handheld ! Nope .
I'm in the market tell me the best option for under 200
It is such a weak handheld
