We uncovered the real story of Rihanna’s experience during and after the incident, not the one portrayed by the media, where she shows us why she is the strong, compassionate, graceful woman the world fell in love within the first place.
What do you think about Rihanna’s experience?

It can happen to anyone. It's happened and is still happening to me.
My maternal grandmother's third husband ended up killing her when I was ten.
I swore it would never happen to me. I understand Rhianna so well. She deserves all the love and happiness in the world.

As someone who’s been through this, abuse is no joke. The effect it has on your brain, your mental, physical, emotional IS NO JOKE. People should never make the joke or laugh at somebody who has been through it or currently dealing with it. One thing I learned: run the first time. Red flags? Leave. If he or she hits you once, THEY WILL DO IT AGAIN. One day, it’ll be a last hit. Whether it’s you going 6ft in from the abuse, or from you gathering that willpower and leaving for your safety and sanity.

I have been in an abusive relationship. The times that they are nice to you seem to far outweigh those bad times. I feel like there is a protective mechanism that made me suppress how scared I was when he would beat me, lock me away for days, and threaten to kill me. I thought I could control the situation if I was just good. It's tough I am happy I am out and she is too!

@@Poetess2323 Nope. It's a factual statement. A woman gets with a man. The man commits a minor act of violence against the woman. The woman stays with the man. The man commits a greater act of violence against the woman. The woman stays with the man. The man continues to increase the level of violence against the woman. The woman stays with the man. The man is beating the woman, the neighbors call the cops because they can hear her screaming, the cops arrive, they can see the woman has been beaten, the woman insists the man did nothing, the cops arrest the man because the law says they have to when there is evidence of abuse, the woman goes to the jail, bails the man out, and they continue with the man abusing the woman and the woman staying with the man, except now she begins to claim that the man is threatening to kill her if she tries to leave. The fools should have gotten away from the man the FIRST time he abused her. I have known these women myself, and NOTHING I or anyone else could say to them could get them to do anything to stop their abuser. I also know a woman who married a man who had never abused her, he slapped her on their wedding night, and she put him in jail, got the marriage annulled, she told the man she would shoot him if she ever saw him again, and I'm sure she meant it. She would have gladly taken her case to a jury.

For someone who has been through these things, it's hard to explain the entire story. Some go so far as to kill the person because if they can't have them no one else can. It's hard to know how far someone will go. Making fun of these things are no joke. I hate to hear people make fun of, or think someone is responsible for this to happen. Those things are not funny, those things are serious. I have seen things go bad, especially when things end in tragedy. So to see Rhianna go through this, it's hard to judge, I'm glad she got past this, because being strong and getting out is important. So many people don't change

People SIMPLY have NO CLUE! There is an actual addiction to chemicals in the body that abuse causes. That makes it hard to leave. Additionally, abusers are EXPERT at mental manipulations. The victim is often convinced they have some blame, they feel they are in love, they want the Fake person to come back that attracted them into the relationship, has disappeared, but keeps promising to come back.

(Men/women that hit men/women are usually very selfish people, cowards, bullies with childhood deep-rooted problems and skeletons in their closet, usually a momma's boy/daddy's girl. Usually these abusers are transgender in private but in public, "act" their own gender; dark spirited/minded, split personality traits, bi-polar or schizophrenic, consciousless, big egos and narcissistic traits. I also wish women would take control and responsibility over their own actions. You don’t smack or punch a man who’s been physically abused all his childhood. You’re asking for an unfiltered reaction. You’re feeding the toxic instinctual response - fight or flight. When you can’t flee, you fucking fight. If I had been abused and neglected by my parent, and then my SO hits me one day mid argument - my childhood and self protectiveness and rage would explode that how the fuck could a fucking adult be hitting me right now? What the fuck did I do to deserve this? I think trauma comes in many forms, and I think some relationships are just toxic. So many broken families create broken people, without proper therapy and rehabilitation of senses, self control, awareness of one’s emotional state, you can’t have a normal relationship with someone who’s going to smack you or hit you randomly, playfully or not. It’s insult to injury. And that often materializes in punching back. Idk. Idk what to think.
She literally says she thought people misunderstood him. The only way they would have misunderstood him is if she wasn’t telling the whole truth by admitting she would also hit him too. Because the narrative she created was out of nowhere he started beating the shit out of her. We know now that wasn’t the case. She was hitting him, while he was driving. He tried to get her out of the car. She wouldn’t leave. So it’s not as though she was just being nice and happy and he punched her out of nowhere. She was haranguing him about his texts, got a bit psycho about his ex, hit him when he “wouldn’t fess up to the truth” as if he’s gunna tell you the truth after you hit him. After he hits her back he leaves her in the car. It just shows what lengths she took to stay in the car and stay in the fight. My ass would be unbuckling and running down the road. I wouldn’t be taking the keys out of the ignition and hiding them from my abusive bf so that were both stuck in the car together. But she did.

🙄 it’s called having some self respect. Why would an abuser have any respect for someone who allows someone to physically abuse them? And then forgive them until they do it all over again. And then forgive them again. Sorry, but I Have been in that situation, and packed up and never looked back the first time he was even REMOTELY physical with me. Cause I refuse to be a doormat that stays and takes it, and forgives them over and over and over. That’s on you (not you personally) if you’re gonna allow someone to abuse you like that and then go back like so many do. That’s when many people start losing sympathy. Cause these animals rely on weak women to just stay and take the beatings over and over, until something REALLY terrible happens. Even worse when they put their children through it, who have no choice in the matter. How anyone could stay with a violent person when they have kids is utterly beyond me. I don’t care how scared you are, you put your kids first and get tf out. There’s always always help if you look for it.

In my opinion he need help , and she need help as well , but not by each other but by professionals .. they don’t belong together until they both fix those wrong learned as a kid models / they may not even like each other after that even / , the figure that trached them that is love when it’s not .. in my opinion that is why they seem really happy together , because they had similar background , and the same unresolved trauma but in my opinion it’s not her who need to “help him” he need to be able to help himself , he should have worked out about his anger issues in the first place .. I really think her thinking she can help him is just an illusion of hers , and this not healthy figure she learned it from , if he don’t want to change she can’t do nothing .. so in my opinion it isn’t worth it trying infinite times , if he can’t get that by himself .. and it’s possible I have had similar experiences , and when you start working on them , is like you have 2 people inside you of which one tells instinctively “I want that” (idk why but I want it , and it makes me feel good when in the long run it reflect the same trauma you had as a kid that is why is attracting you it’s familiar ) , and another voice in my head that tells me if I listen to my instinct it may not turn very well .. For the reason I described above .. so travaglie what she wants and what it feels normal without trying to change people , since that is disfunzionale as well , is the key , to re parent and at least try to erase that traumatic period and don’t make it repeat infinite times , and teach it incongruously to your kids as well..

Domestic abuse is complicated. While the perpetrators that do it are awful people, it's also difficult sometimes to help the victims. I just learned this weekend that a woman I work with was getting the brakes beaten off of her by her husband. I've known this woman for 2 years and she is a trainwreck filled with poor decision making and drama that unfortunately drags other people into it. Well-meaning people trying to help, but not knowing yet that this moron can't be helped. The best thing to do is stay away from them. She gets punched in the face pretty regularly, but defends the abuser and compromises other people that try to help. My stance with this individual is to stay away and caution others to stay away for their own well-being.
