Razorback fan here. If council will work on his jump shot, he will be a solid nba player. Loved watching him play for the hogs
Ricky Council IV will continuing developing more practice on making his reads and rebounding through the contract of helping him to be a better shooter.
It always bugs me when people say all he has is athleticism, his jumper is a little awkward but he can definitely shoot in the post. Athleticism is something to build off of. In the early years of his career he could harness his athleticism to get it done at the rim and if he’s crafty enough eventually evolve his game and correct his shooting weakness. All in all you gotta let these dudes develop into their full potential. With social media and chronic internet sports critics, way too many of these guys are getting shot down before they even get a chance to develop their game. Arkansas fans know just how important Ricky was in the Kansas upset, he’s a killer.
Your suppose to be developed in professional sports unless you just started playing. If your jumper is kind of ugly 10 years in most people in life will get it won’t get better. That’s the point of being a scout lol. In any sport your suppose to be perfect in the minors/pros just make a few small adjustments. If not odds are your as good as your gonna get any big problems like a jump shot if baseball swing might not be fixable. *might not* still possible though
@@chrisw8663 shooting isn’t everybody’s game, plus an ugly jumper does not equate to a bad fg%. He shot 43% from the field and 33% from the 3. He can shoot, I watched him play at arkansas. He lead the team in scoring for the season, he was 3rd in scoring for the SEC. He’s a great at post up/ close shots and he’s great around the rim.
@@benjaminstout2809 he led his team in scoring and he had 2 lottery picks and another one in the 2nd round on his college team. Anthony black nick smith jr and Jordan Walsh. They are all doing pretty well pre season.
