Hey guys, looking forward to seeing this ski complete ( as im sure you are too). I was also fortunate ( or maybe unfortunate) enough to pick up an RXX about 7 minutes away from my house in Atlantic Canada believe it or not. Its a basket case as well, needs cleaned and rebuilt. As I understand theres a slight difference with either piston ring end gap, or piston clearance, compared to other 951's? Thanks keep up the great work
@TodayWeWrench yeah my 97 xp that I just started for my winter project said it needed a starter so I put one on and did a compression test and it has 200 psi .wtf pull rotary plate and the guy fill the crank case with wd40 slap to the top.but it's ready 😎 👌 💯
I dont, it's a RXX hull for a couple reasons. The HIN tag is on the opposite side, no provisions for a bailer on the side where the pump is and the ride plate is different. I do however think someone hacked up a RX harness to make this work. I tore it down and made it new and proper though.
What exhaust would you guys recommend for and rx or should I just leave it alone kinda going for more of a nice tone. And it's about f**king time we get some rxx content 😆 🤣
LOL The ski everyone wants to see but dosnt want to work on. I would do a white pipe and FA's with proper jetting. If you want to get even more out of it of a intake grate and impeller.
good afternoon guys, I am your subscribers, I watch with pleasure your channel, how you repair equipment, I like everything very much, I have such a request to you, I have a challenger boat 1800 of 1997, I need brains for it, a control unit
If it was me I would find a seadoo wave runner with a 787 in it and use those electronics. Set it up with a grey box (MPEM) for each engine. Its a pain but its the only thing you can do besides a used uint off eBay for upwards of 2k
keep on keeping on you guys are great thanks for posting ,,,, ill be getting some shirts fowshouw
Thanks!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who leaves all my tools on the hull 😂

Piston gap is slightly different, yes
Great video guys. This Dave character sounds very challenging. He must live in an area he can ride year around.

could you help me find the electronic control unit, because I'm already tired of searching and can't find it anywhere?
if there is such an opportunity, guys, please help, because there are no such control units in our country, all hope is only on you.
