I know the point is to become capable of coming up with stuff over time but as someone who doesn't have all the time in the world to mess around with that stuff it was so much fun to see the ports that you had found! Absolutely love your content, by the way. You sound so full of passion for teaching! Please keep up the amazing work!
Hey dazs, I’ve been hard stuck on picking my next legend as I’m rlly looking for a main. I’m big on what my character looks like this already having my eyes on alter as she looks badass but your guide has given me great knowledge and thanks to u I’m convinced I’ll be the best alter main
Been playing her for ~20h and I can’t see how I’d play another champ now. She is SO much FUN! Should’ve see me scream when I realized I could use my ult while knocked. And we won that game.
Alot of people thought I was crazy when I called them stupid and/or dense for comparing Alter to Wraith and/or Ash just because they have portal based abilities, but the playstyles couldn't be more different. I have always compared Alter to Wattson because of how much nuance there is to their abilities. The skill ceiling is very high and there are tons of little tricks with Alter and Wattson that can catch enemies off guard. Wattson will always be my primary main, but Alter is definitely my secondary main with how fun yet skillfully fulfilling she can be. Not to mention she is balenced yet fun to play, which is a very thin line to be on, and Alter rides it perfectly. I really hope that respawn continues to release quality legends like Alter considering that they are taking their time on these legend releases and not releasing one every season. Id much like the quality over quantity approach when it comes to legend releases.
My friend gave me a tip on her Tactical portal. They said that after a squad wipe one could use her Tactical portal to portal a teammate off of a deathbox so that you can quickly snag all the valuable loot. Once again, my friend kindly provided this tip. Said it “fits Alter’s crazy/evil personality” 🤫
Dazs this was EXACTLY the video i was looking for when thinking "man i really wish there was an alter guide out there for people who want to push her abilities to their maximum potential"
Thank you so much for your time on this one. We can add something for her tactical. You can jump fatigue right after the portal, if you jump right before. It cancel the animation but you keep the momentum.

proud Alter main since day 1. Also, I think a good quality of life buff is for her tactical to show like a visual indicator on where its gonna end up, so you dont go in blindly

Not sure if it’s just my specific button binds on controller (maybe it’s on PC too) but if you place your Ult in anticipation of a battle and then your teammate “Thanks you”, be it giving them ammo or anything where you can reply “You’re Welcome”, it will destroy the Ult you just placed because the “You’re Welcome” bind is the same as the “Destroy Ult” bind. Same thing could happen if you place the Ult and then pop 2/3 Ult Accels to get it again and then press the bind for saying “My Ultimate is Ready”.
This guide has been amazing, the possibilities are endless with alter. Thank you tapping into my imagination on how to be more effective with my play style. Cheers sir.

Literally leased used legend........ THAT alone makes her dangerous af...... People won't expect ANY of her powers in fact i literally see her about honestly........ 1 percent of the time..... Her ult when its not ending at purple shields it doesn't timeout thats OP af.... Stupid stupid stupid op..it has NO DISTANCE limits..... Her tac goes through 20 metres max objects which isn't as far as it should be imo but its strong af.... Especially since Newcastle is metta he camps up in a building its over u can breach through floor or wall..... Like... Lul She can steal 1 item from a death box remotely..... OP af.... Shes amazing.... Im maining her starting now See u out there
I was wondering about her portals With Grenades because oftentimes if you do a portal whoever was chasing you just immediately follows into the portal and so it seems like an easy way to pull a wraith trick and throwing an arc star straight down as you come out

Yeah, what puts Alter in such a hard spot. When you can't go in first because Portal is too loud and everyone focuses it. Why I use the Ultimate to try and gather teammates up at times rather than a fall back. She takes a bit to get going. But when she works, she really works.
Great video I really liked the different options of creating a port. I will try that for sure in pubs to see how it goes. Thanks for the guide it really shows you put a huge effort into this and we all appreciate it.
honestly where they haven't changed that yet, they probably plan to keep it as a nice little buff to alter, honestly that must be it cause if not as soon as they found out they would have killed in the very next patch because everyone knows they hate fun bugs
Not even close to the same thing. just one example: revs old totem was automatic and the new one is one you need to both spend time to activate and an enemy can follow your portal so it's kinda worse
