I love how I refuse to properly get ready for bed when my parents tell me but for some reason when some dude on the internet tells me to go brush my teeth and make sure I did everything I get up and go do things,
Idk about you but when parents/family would tell me it's a demand for routine and forcing good habits. When I get asked here, it's 1) not mandatory, I won't face consequence or judgment if I don't or can't, 2) it's on my own time aka when it feels like bedtime to me anyway and there's no judgement of when its done, just that its done eventually, 3) it's more of a gentle "hey don't forget to take care of yourself" kinda deal and that makes me feel cared for and thus more likely to listen out of appreciation
