I haven't found a story-mod I feel really nails it, but this one definitely undershoots by a good amount. There's the spoilers, the dialogue style, and for me the biggest part is the Owelk presence. The Nomai never found the stranger because they only had cannons set up to use within the plane of the solar system, and the signal didn't INSTANTLY travel through space either, so they'd either be dead or at least in the sim by that point. This also creates potential confusion about the empty slot in the simulation chambers that's meant for the prisoner, unless they removed an extra seat somewhere. Also, it's described that Datura turned on an alarm in the dream world which woke up a ghost bird. Is it implying that it killed them? Because it's a gameplay mechanic that if you're dead, alarms don't wake you. If it's implying that they just woke up normally, then I don't know why the other ghost birds would be so upset about it.
You can find Solanum's school notes on Brittle Hollow in the base game, so yeah, they moved there at some point and it's canon. As for the ghost birds, they were upset because Datura accidentaly walked into the pit on Cinder Isles which, as we know from DLC, leads to the forbidden archives. They didn't wake up, but they probably saw the alarm's red light and realized someone is trying to reach the archives, and they are not fond of that.

And putting majorly flawed art out there is necessary to eventually make good one so constructive criticism is helpful but people should be commended for it not shamed. Stop being a dick, Do better.
@@Hellisfear I agree with your criticisms, but 'They should feel bad for writing this stuff' Dude, that's not how you learn from mistakes, that's how you scare off making projects like this all together. The mod has potential, there's elements of it I did like, and I'd love to see those elements heightened or expanded in other mods. If your aim is to criticise to help, Criticise to help. If your aim is to criticise to be a dick, just be a dick, don't hide behind feedback.
Criticism shouldn't make you feel bad. It should help you learn. Saying "They should feel bad" is objectively not criticism.
@@Hello-Students It should be part of the expectations of an artist or creator that they will be given harsh and cruel criticism over their published work.
If you as a writer, create something worth embarassment and shame then you should know, and theres nothing wrong with people telling you bluntly. If you can't handle the idea of that happening then you should never publish your work. You and everyone else will be far better off. No one will ever improve if the stardards for good writing are so wishy washy and every person who can put 2 sentences together gets a pass.
If this person didn't feel bad, for writing this after recieving proper criticism, how do you think his next project will fair? Writing is not for yourself, it is for others. If you don't feel bad after people take their time to read your nonesense, then you shouldn't be publishing your content.
Now, I don't even hold this creators writing as that awful. Its bad but the its obfuscated by the puzzles and exploration which was decent. The ending was just so bad, and I would feel embarrassed if I wrote that.
