i love this song becuase im pretty sure the story is about a woman whos son goes to war and comes back dead, the use of bfpo is so good though, it repersents the letter she got informing her of her sons death. i also interpert the "what coudl he have been" as eather the rest of the family or her just thinking about what her son coudl have been if not for war. my favorite book line ever is "the humans have a disease called war" or somethign along those liens form the book pax
I interpret it as a lover lost at war, when it begins to hit the chorus, I imagine that the chorus is about his partner singing about all he could've been if he hadn't gone to war.
@@Viizln that is true but the screaming in the backround always sounded like a desperate cry of 'mam' or 'mum' to me, so i believe it is about a mother talking about her child who had a future ahead of him before he went to the war with his friends, his ego making him believe he was naturally ready for war
This is the kind of song the two main characters of a show would be dancing in the forest to, wearing flowy clothes with nice sleeves and doing fancy twirls
The soft-hearted man who used to work for the army dancing with his wife whom hand-knits his hats inside of their small home located deep within the forest.
This conforts me more than anything bc its my bsfs fav song and there is nothing dramatic to it i just miss her bc i sas with her for a week straight..😭
omg yess the black dog and the lyrics! the lyrics matches what sirius couldve been if peter hadnt betrayed the marauders and if he never was killed by bella.
This makes me cry A LOT is just that I once had a dream or smt that was about me and someone else dancing and saying good bye and when he desapire I felt that I had no reason of living I cried a lot cause this song remind me of that someone I have no idea who that "someone" is but I know something happened to it... And I feel that I need to find that..
im soo obbssed w this song, i dont have any experience w war, and none of my relative either, but it helps me undertstand the people who went through this
My story with this song To start I’ll just say yes it’s daddy issues, not typical abuse or he’s not there because he was. My father was always there, never emotionally. I grew up with no real connection to him, no way to talk to him, scared to even be in the same room as him because it would be so deafeningly silent. My dreams have always been in science, to change the world and probe to him that I’m smart, I needed to achieve things so he would notice me and smile; I wanted to be the perfect child and I still do. No matter what I did, what I learned or studied, the hobbies I picked up- it stayed the same. Us barely speaking a word to watch her and him being a stranger to me. He was in the RAF, pushed for me to join cadets and I did, we had something to talk about at last. I quit, it took too much free time up when I was just 13-14. We stopped talking. Old enough to explore careers I was sure of biochemistry and virology. The military weighed in my mind, lurked like a street cat around a restaurant and it had finally decided to take a bite. I told him I was thinking about enlisting, he was nothing but supportive. For the first time in 16 years we had a real genuine conversation, he was interested in what I was saying. I wang him to be proud, I wang to make a difference, I want to inspire people and help. I could be a politician, I could be a scientist. I dream of the army.
I somehow feel related to this song but the closest I've felt is I was born a military brat up until I was 11 but now I want to join the military and every time I listen to this song I imagine the Notification officer telling my parents I that I have died on deployment and I imagine them breaking down. I also have good grades in my high school so I relate to the "he should've been a politician" and I imagine my mother telling the officer all of the things I could've been.
Эта песня такая.. Резкая,по голосу понятно сто спокойная женщина,очень красиво, когда я это слушаю чувствую как будто я хочу добраться до кого нибудь и зпбрать его сердце...😢
