New Holland CX5.80 | Combine Winter Barley | Harsh Summer 23

With harsh weather for harvest ground in poor condition and the barley toppled over with wind and rain Mark from Drumcroon Farm working the New Holland CX5.80. With the barley only a few inches high and in some cases flat to the ground its almost like a salvage job.
A normal site for farming last harvest with yields and straw down and the ever increasing prices. Winter barley was burned off on the 8th July and it took to the 3rd of August to combine the field. Orwell yielded well with an average yield of 2.95 tonne / acre
