They are protesting what is going on in Bangladesh. Students are being killed by their government because they have sort of a class system that secures majority of the good jobs for those whose grand/parents fought in the independence war. The poor, whose children work hard and get the best grades are only allotted a very small fraction of the good jobs whilst the rest go unanimously to those who were merely born into the right family. The government is fighting to keep it as is and have turned off access to the internet. Or so I have heard, I would look this up just to make sure.

Just to give some context: This protest is about the Bangladeshi people raising awareness and asking the world for help. In Bangladesh there are protests against the corruption that’s happening. The Bangladeshi government has disabled the internet to prevent communication and have enforced a curfew. People have been killed but media blackout has prevented the situation entering the news.
Protesting that they are not treated fairly is exactly why irish people are protesting. But the media is pushing racism as the cause when it is government negligence. Are civil service has being diluted into too many departments who take less responsibility for the effectiveness of their actions. In my job if i can't do what i am hired to do i lose my job. Civil servants are not held accountable for the mismanagement of public funds
