Actually i like gary the most, or at least in game contents, he was the one member who stood a chance against jongkook, which made the show more interesting
He's the one and only Mr random capable. I can still remember an episode where Jongkook and Gary battled out for a key for their reincarnation in the future, in a way of name tag elimination. Then in the present time, wherein they have been reincarnated, later have the members known that the only two left remaining who were battling out in their past life was Gary and Jongkook. They were unsure who won because Gary can stand a chance against Jongkook. In the end Gary won. There's a lot of times where the members want to form a group/alliance with Gary 'cause he's capable and strong. That's why he was and will always be branded as Mr random capable.
@AinzMe she just uses men and toss them away when she don't need them anymore. Just look how she's treating jongkook now especially during their fanmeet in manila recently. She forced him to do skinship with him when she went on other shows saying she don't like him

He knows how it feels to be successful in music/entertainment with popularity from all around the world but he also knows how much he needs to sacrifice to be there. I really think that the Monday couple attracted a lot of young audiences, including me. I like Kang Gary because of how simple he was and the way he talks to Song Ji Hyo when they were still a Monday couple felt like they are filming a drama. You can't really hate him because there's basically nothing hateful towards him as a whole person, that's why a lot of people like him.
He was my number 1 favorite in RM and i am very happy that he found his true happiness even after leaving RM.And he has a genius son now that is so cute and lovable😍.
He secured their future with the songs he wrote, he's a good father. he's also good to himself, he knows what's harming him mentally and I respect that because not a lot of people can do that.

I agree. I’ve faced depression before. And when it hits, sometimes you’d just want to shut the world out. This might be the reason he “cut” ties with RM members. He just needed time, solace and his family. Though I’m sad this happened, I’m glad that he found peace and love in his wife and child. I wish him all the happiness in the world.

I was worried that it was because of how much they kept calling him squid or ugly a few episodes before he quit. A joke can only go so far before it becomes frustrating. But then again, we won’t ever know unless he says so himself. He was one of my favourite running man members alongside Kwang Soo. Back then Monday couple is so popular, and u know some fans are toxic and dumb. They can not make difference between real life and variety show. I hear at some interviews, Gary change his number because harassment he got.

The reasons when I started from liking him to loving him since his day 1 in rm 1. He's cute and innocent (he would startled Everytime Jaesuk suddenly stood beside him) 2. His cheesy/smooth lines (his first move on Jihyo was "She's good at LOVE" and "she has lovely eyes") 3. Can't resist his sweet and flirty moves (He kept on helping and hitting on Jihyo when he had chances) 4. His random jokes (I'm good at bearing pain) 5. He's loyal (if you ask who do I trust the most in rm it would be him, and he stayed in Monday couple character even tho he got pair up with pretty female guests) 6. He's polite (I love Everytime he call Hyungnim instead of Hyung and always use the most formal speaking) 7. He's effortless always relax and peace (I remember one time when everyone were working hard to break the jail he would just ate his dumplings and chill) 8. Strong and fast (not competitive and you can't underestimate this guy when he's serious his strength is no joke) 8. His voice is unique (he doesn't have average voice always speak like a drunk person but Damn it's so relaxing) (I listen to his songs to help me sleep everyday) 9. Well, he's handsome (I'm speaking for myself. At this point including all the charm he suddenly looks handsome lol) 10. I remember being very confused each time i heard about Gary's lack of communication after 2016, but I respect that he doesn't have to explain himself. While this video wasnt able to explain that either (understandably), it did put some things in perspective for me. Especially the part about how he once cut off all his friends to focus only on music that year when he only made $2k. Whatever the reason, limiting his social interactions seems like something he does to maybe manage stress and gain control of some situation, so I can respect and understand that. I just hope he doesn't take the hate he's received since then to heart.

at first I adore him cause our name is similar, his stage name, not his real name. as the times goes on, I started to really likes all RM Members until now, but for sure I really like the episodes when Gary won the race. I was sad when he decided to leave RM, but maybe what he felt was right. He needed to find his "real" happiness, and he REALLY found it by marriage and having a genius son. His act by cut off communication with all RM members maybe was rude, but I am sure he really had his own reason, other than protecting his family. RIght now, I am glad that my Idol, my Role Model, is enjoying his life with his family. If you watch TROS, even regular people, who just watch TV and don’t follow showbiz, they still recognize Monday Couple. This just show how popular Monday Couple was. If Gary stayed on RM and got married, it would have been more controversial. Gary made good decision that he left RM to get marriage. Haha wasn’t involved in a loveline. LKS has his injuries that he needs to take care of his health. Plus the SooMin loveline was never get as big as Monday Couple.

He was his friend even before RM that's why he is still with him... but with others, it's not. Well, this video lacks of information like about Honey Family. Honey Family gained success with first album and still consider as a very iconic first generation Hiphop group. Or Gary wrote lyrics for over 200 songs and many more about him.

Honestly I’ve watched RM with my sister when I was young and it brought so many laughs. To this day I still watch funny montages of RM and I remember hearing the news of Gary leaving it made us quite sad but happy at the same time that he was leaving for love.

No I don't think so, because he cut off everyone not just RM. There is a purpose and that is to protect his family from the malicious netizens which hurt him and his wife a lot. Also idk which episode it was after the members mentioned not having his number, but just a while later that Haha said he's been receiving caps and he knows it's from Gary. It's actually like this: just because he cut people off doesn't mean he doesn't cherish them. He just felt an immense need to protect his family first :-) cheer up!

Off camera, running man members are merely colleagues for him, Jee Seok-jin and song ji hyo in the past. They didnt have bonding as what we thought except for YJS, KJK LKS and HAHA. You can feel it through the show because they didn't talk about their private interaction between members except YJS, KJK LKS and HAHA. I only respect KJK because he really wanna make friend with others with sincere heart while LKS and YJS really wanna do more for the show
Watching Gary and his son on The Return Of Superman showed how clever and entertaining he was. He did not hurt The Return of Superman, he was a fun contributor.
I hope people don't just see it as Gary doing things to focus on his family. He also did many things to protect his family. Afterall, being in the spotlight has so many cons... may be hard for people to understand, but he has always been very private. So I find it understandable that he became more private and took measures in order to protect his family. And most of such people do this when there's a greater need to- it doesn't mean he no longer cares about all the relationships he's had. But he still loves and cares for them.
To decide on those hard decisions, letting go of the things that makes you who you are at that time is very brave of him. I admire that the most, a very inspiring role model to me.

it is true. in early RM, Gary really carrying the show. well, not entirely but he has huge influence back then. monday couple, haha-gary rival, servant jongkook gary and game winner gary etc etc. this cannot be replaced by anyone. after his departure, haha seems quite dull in some of eps maybe because he couldnt find someone to make fun, up until LKS rising funny scene stealer. jihyo couldnt get much more screen time mainly because no more monday couple. jongkook has no one to serve as no 2. im glad current RM with Somin and Sechan has a fresh start eventho LKS departure definitely hit them hard. gary is a good guy. he has short appearances after his departure just to let viewers know the relationship between them is still ok.
well,after somin and sechan joined..Haha definitely becomes ALOT MORE funny and active again just like the old days and that makes me very happy..ji hyo too also become a bit more active now..although i think ji hyo have always didnt get much screentime and isnt even active even before gary left...(the only times i think she always have screentimes is during like the first 150 episodes)
As much as I truly miss seeing Kang Gary in Running man & The Return of Superman, he sacrificed a lot in his life especially when he won his first prize award for his parents (back in RM early episode 9), he has and always been independent in his life where he works so much to reach his career today. I was mad at him when he cut ties with RM members and everyone else in his life, but I understood why. He knew how the media was, how the entertainment world can be, and how crazy fans would get. I respect him so much; therefore, he found happiness and that's all that matters now, his happiness and our support to him and his choices!
It is true that he has nothing left to contribute in running man. In a few episode before he announced his leaving from the rm, i found out he is less active and got very few screen time, and the monday couple bond is no longer be seen, so I'm so disappointed. But, still he is my favourite character in running man, and after watching him in the return of the superman, I'm glad that he's doing fine
Imo he really took the monday couple seriously, he want it to be true. We all want it to be true. but jihyo doesn't felt the same. Can't blame her. So he just stuck in the friendzone area. KANG GARY is a simple man. He struggle a lot to get what he has now.. as the video show chronology of Gary career, I conclude that Gary has achieved everything he desired in his life. He has lovely wife and son now, he is rich and can live without a job for his entire life with the royalty money. I like this guy. He is living my dream life.
Before I only watch some clips of RM when they guest a k-pop girl group that I like but when I discovered the Monday Couple that's when I decided to watch from episode 1 and now I'm ep 337. it feels different without Gary and I don't know if I will continue watching or not, he is the member I like the most, one of his song became my favorite "The Girl Who Can't Break Up, The Boy Who Can't Leave" and "5 On A Joyride", I know he is a good man I will be his fan forever.

Actually i like gary the most, or at least in game contents, he was the one member who stood a chance against jongkook, which made the show more interesting
He's the one and only Mr random capable. I can still remember an episode where Jongkook and Gary battled out for a key for their reincarnation in the future, in a way of name tag elimination. Then in the present time, wherein they have been reincarnated, later have the members known that the only two left remaining who were battling out in their past life was Gary and Jongkook. They were unsure who won because Gary can stand a chance against Jongkook. In the end Gary won. There's a lot of times where the members want to form a group/alliance with Gary 'cause he's capable and strong. That's why he was and will always be branded as Mr random capable.

He knows how it feels to be successful in music/entertainment with popularity from all around the world but he also knows how much he needs to sacrifice to be there. Throughout the years he already felt all the upside down in the industry so now he just want to be happy with the real happiness he has - his family. I really think that the Monday couple attracted a lot of young audiences, including me. I like Kang Gary because of how simple he was and the way he talks to Song Ji Hyo when they were still a Monday couple felt like they are filming a drama. You can't really hate him because there's basically nothing hateful towards him as a whole person, that's why a lot of people like him.

He just needed time, solace and his family. Though I’m sad this happened, I’m glad that he found peace and love in his wife and child. I wish him all the happiness in the world.

Gary has always been up there among my favorite members. It wasn't until I reached my late 20s that I realized how incredibly real he was and gained a new appreciation for him.

I remember being very confused each time i heard about Gary's lack of communication after 2016, but I respect that he doesn't have to explain himself. While this video wasnt able to explain that either (understandably), it did put some things in perspective for me. Especially the part about how he once cut off all his friends to focus only on music that year when he only made $2k. Whatever the reason, limiting his social interactions seems like something he does to maybe manage stress and gain control of some situation, so I can respect and understand that. at first I adore him cause our name is similar, his stage name, not his real name. as the times goes on, I started to really likes all RM Members until now, but for sure I really like the episodes when Gary won the race. I was sad when he decided to leave RM, but maybe what he felt was right. He needed to find his "real" happiness, and he REALLY found it by marriage and having a genius son. Well, this video lacks of information like about Honey Family. Honey Family gained success with first album and still consider as a very iconic first generation Hiphop group. Or Gary wrote lyrics for over 200 songs and many more about him.

Honestly I’ve watched RM with my sister when I was young and it brought so many laughs. To this day I still watch funny montages of RM and I remember hearing the news of Gary leaving it made us quite sad but happy at the same time that he was leaving for love.

No I don't think so, because he cut off everyone not just RM. There is a purpose and that is to protect his family from the malicious netizens which hurt him and his wife a lot. Also idk which episode it was after the members mentioned not having his number, but just a while later that Haha said he's been receiving caps and he knows it's from Gary. It's actually like this: just because he cut people off doesn't mean he doesn't cherish them. He just felt an immense need to protect his family first :-) cheer up!

Off camera, running man members are merely colleagues for him, Jee Seok-jin and song ji hyo in the past. They didnt have bonding as what we thought except for YJS, KJK LKS and HAHA. You can feel it through the show because they didn't talk about their private interaction between members except YJS, KJK LKS and HAHA. Watching Gary and his son on The Return Of Superman showed how clever and entertaining he was. He did not hurt The Return of Superman, he was a fun contributor.
I hope people don't just see it as Gary doing things to focus on his family. He also did many things to protect his family. Afterall, being in the spotlight has so many cons... may be hard for people to understand, but he has always been very private. So I find it understandable that he became more private and took measures in order to protect his family. And most of such people do this when there's a greater need to- it doesn't mean he no longer cares about all the relationships he's had. But he still loves and cares for them.
To decide on those hard decisions, letting go of the things that makes you who you are at that time is very brave of him. I admire that the most, a very inspiring role model to me.
I pray nothing but the bests for Gary and his family. We all will go thru same situations some day at some point of our lives we will choose to stay lowkey and detach ourselves only to protect our very loved ones. As much as I truly miss seeing Kang Gary in Running man & The Return of Superman, he sacrificed a lot in his life especially when he won his first prize award for his parents (back in RM early episode 9), he has and always been independent in his life where he works so much to reach his career today. I was mad at him when he cut ties with RM members and everyone else in his life, but I understood why. He knew how the media was, how the entertainment world can be, and how crazy fans would get. I respect him so much; therefore, he found happiness and that's all that matters now, his happiness and our support to him and his choices!

For me, even though I don't know him personally and will never do, I totally understand him and his decisions. Every now and then, I am thinking of doing the same thing. Letting go of the past and cutting of ties with close friends. Not because I hate them or anything like that. But because I just want a fresh start - a blank slate. KANG GARY is a simple man. He struggle a lot to get what he has now.. as the video show chronology of Gary career, I conclude that Gary has achieved everything he desired in his life. He has lovely wife and son now, he is rich and can live without a job for his entire life with the royalty money. I like this guy. He is living my dream life.

Before I only watch some clips of RM when they guest a k-pop girl group that I like but when I discovered the Monday Couple that's when I decided to watch from episode 1 and now I'm ep 337. it feels different without Gary and I don't know if I will continue watching or not, he is the member I like the most, one of his song became my favorite "The Girl Who Can't Break Up, The Boy Who Can't Leave" and "5 On A Joyride", I know he is a good man I will be his fan forever.
