I feel the same, I can't say how much I liked the show as a kid and the fright when Bill Bixby began his transformation into Hulk. The trembling face, the cracking shirt, the shoes (not the pants) . Lou Ferrigno was the perfect actor for the Hulk, he's huge, bulky, looks indestructible, but has a fragile side nonetheless. Thank you Lou, thank you Bill.

I think that's what endeared us so much to his character as he didn't want to physically harm anyone...He was super brave though, throughout the series, especially in this scene... He also fought against getting angry/upset so he had that going on as well while getting accosted..

This has got to be the most realistic depiction of the hulk, considering how frail humans really are, I guess it makes sense that Hulk is as powerful as the human body allows him to be, surpassing the natural limits by far but still human, so therefore bullets can hurt him to some degree, he reminds me of The Beast from Split.

I don’t think that’s possible. The rights to The Incredible Hulk TV Series are owned by Universal Studios. Same goes for the Edward Norton stand-alone movie. I don’t think Universal will give away all the stand-alone Hulk rights that easily to Disney. It’s a shame. The hulk used to be able to be streamed on Netflix and Hulu but not anymore. It’s all these clips and hard copies of the series and TV movies at this point. No offense

The show took almost all the "comic book" elements out of it, except the Hulk, himself. He did heal fast, though. There was one episode where David was paralyzed, but when he changed, the Hulk could move normally. And when he changed back, David could walk again.
Even in the pilot episode the hulk wasn't bullet proof. He is shot in Same place coincidentally and gets revenge by throwing the rifleman & bending his gun.

If If were Bruce Barton, Bruce Bennet, Bruce Beethoven or whatever and the Hulk I think I'd take some martial arts classes or pro wrestling classes . It's as if we're talking about someone under hypnosis.. Unless they're a potential killer, you can't hypnotize someone to kill.. Look someone shot at it... shot at YOU... I want to be Dr. Banner... not Dr. Jeckle.. Later in the pilot Elaina says. Take a look at this... (In reference to a monitoring graph) look at these lines (David had a nightmare about his wife trapped in the burning car after the accident and he was trying to get her out while being monitored in the lab) Elaina says, look at these lines, the emmotion levels rise and the intelligence levels drop, just at the moment of transformation... and it must be your anger that triggers it off.. For someone to be good at a martial art... they must be intelligent, focused and be able to think and comprehend what their opponent is going to do.. Something the hulk at least by the standards of the series would NOT be able to do..

For someone to be good at a martial art... they must be intelligent, focused and be able to think and comprehend what their opponent is going to do..
Something the hulk at least by the standards of the series would NOT be able to do..
