Great interview! The Speedmaster is really a classic and legendary timepiece. Any true watch collector will recognize this watch. Omega really keeps doing what they do best…..which is producing high quality movements and beautiful watches. Christian, I know we have talked about this in the past….the Omega Constellation Globemaster is a watch that is underrated and not really recognized here in the USA. Thank you again!
In the end, I don’t think the NASA aspect really affects most buyers, thought it is cool. The classic Speedy is the E Type of chronographs. It’s just a damn fine looking object which has not, and imo, will never age, with a classic engine admired by all.
The honest truth it's that that omega speedmaster is the only real competitor to a daytona. Let's not talk Tudor because honestly most people just don't see Tudor as prestigious. The daytonas being unobtainable as well as more then double retail leads the average person to always go speedy when wanting that chrono look. Yes you can get a Tudor or a zenith or a Breguet at those prices but honestly those brands are just not looked at the same (although Breguet should) so speedy is the easy choice. It has great history plus you can actually buy it at retail or below retail.
Sadly he didn’t mention the difference in look between the sapphire and the hesalite. Compare them next to each other in real life, and ask yourself how often you will look on the backside, and how often on the dial. The dial looks way more pleasing with the hesalite in my opinion.
Yes agreed... the exhibition casebacks are only good for a week after which you'll be busy wiping off the smudges. My el primero with a column wheel prettier movement, the novelty lasted 2-3 wks at most. never looked at it again. The solid caseback is in fact more interesting and feel. If you're so worried about scratches to the hesalite, simply put a super thin 0.1mm self healing soft TPU film. Solves it without affecting the opacity of the hesalite crystal at all. It's invisible to the naked eye and is cheap and easy to install. Hesalite with the brushed bracelet is the way to go. Discreet, pure and tool watch feel. Best regards
@@meltz5253 pretty is subjective, bec to many the hesalite is pure beauty...the dome shape of the hesalite is just beautiful. But glad you chose the hesalite. Love the solid caseback and the brushed bracelet... Just feels right. Best regards
This was a cool look at various Speedmasters, but I would have loved if the new Speedy '57 was included. That's a very cool release. I've tried on the black one on bracelet, but the blue one is quite nice looking. The green is too, but blue is more my speed.
Great video Christian and Anthony. For me probably the only speedy I could wear is the 38mm version but they are all amzaing. Also shout out to all the special edition speedys(snoopy, dark side, first omega in space)
Don't sell yourself short....had a mate who swore by the 38mm...tried the 42mm one day just for kicks and ended up trading in the 38 for it lol....the lugs make a huge difference, it's actually a lot more wearable than it looks
I would like to buy a speed master professional but I have but I found them to be too difficult to difficult to wind. The Crown is too recessed in the case. I'm really disappointed by that because I wanted to buy 1. I just know I couldn't deal with how to get to try to wind it every couple of days. Nice to hear they improved the bracelet. I tried 1 or 2 years ago and found it to be very uncomfortable.
Im going to re watch -.but I’m trying to buy a watch for my husband- but he does not like mechanical watches - loves the speedmaster - I’m not keen on buying on the secondhand market - are there any recommendations that hold their value
Speedmaster or Moonwatch. For me the Moonwatch is the only piece staying true to the original Speedmaster models made in the 50’s-60’s. Hand wound -not Automatic. The contemporary ‘Reduced’ ‘Racing’ and two dial 57’s / Moonphase’s muddy the water on what is an over referenced line.
That bronze gold 2021 chronoscope release is gorgeous, definitely my favorite speedmaster even with the changed dial from the original and a 1mm diameter increase, amazing video as always and loving the content also thank you guys for posting right in the morning too ❤
Brilliant analysis of the different things to watch for on the different time frames. Good to see everyone feels the same way when they lose money, everyone thinks they could do this or that with that money which is as good as gone, instead people refuse to seek help from professionals, Morten Jesper's set to be different and unique, I have made about $470k already from his day tradng, all i did was to copy his daily signals, am done having heart breaks hodling and trading myself lol.
We know that we live in moments of uncertainty, but these moments are also opportunities for those who know how to take advantage of the opportunities. Cryptocurrencies are bringing a different revolution to the world economy and optimistic investors are consistently making a profit, believe me
Honestly, I tried in the Speedy. Was not crazy about the bracelet - it looks amazing but felt light / flimsy. I actually liked the older bracelet which is crazy to me!
Am I the only one who's a bit tired of the Speedmaster just being the Moonwatch? The Speedmaster is more than the watch that went to the moon. It's a racing watch first and foremost. There _are_ other Speedmasters than the professional, y'know.

Speedmaster professional is an icon, discreet, never loud or tacky , always respected. Worn by such dignitaries as king of Netherlands, prince of Sweden , Mark knoppler , Joe Biden, Robert Downey Jr, billionaire businessmen etc all the way to regular working class people. It's a watch that transcends all social classes.. looks good with a suit to a jump suit... it's pure class. No pretensions. Not a watch for posers/wankers. 😁
Oh got this !😉 And recently got the 3861. In the flesh, the 3861 looks much more refined than the racing 40mm with yellow accents...they come in a wide variety of colors. But the racing 40 is also a good reliable watch.. I still love it. 👌
You can say that you aren't a steel, sport, chrono, large watch person, but those photos with it on your wrist look really good. Looks like it was meant to be there and doesn't look out of place at all. Sharp! Speedmaster is my next watch...assuming I don't "get the call" first.
