My First Sugar Cane Farm (Minecraft Java)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 бер 2021
- This was the very first Sugar Cane Farm I built in my survival world (see link below to Hoobs Live). It was not the large industrial flying machine build I have shown in other videos... although I did end up building that eventually, but it was more than enough for a long time. That was back in 1.12 when you needed paper for villager trades, in the current version with the new mechanics this small farm may be enough and you will never need to build the more complicated flying machine version.

Finally! I really needed some books

I love the smaller survival builds!! Also do you think you can make a follow up video to your fireworks video that would show the damage done with firework crossbows? Thank you for the farm inspiration and design
I like both, but i think tileable desings are also very nice, cus then you can chose how big you build them
@@teodortodorov4712 this will get you the paper (I have a cow farm if you need the leather :P)
I always appreciate the videos where they show early, mid-game, late-game versions of the same build.
that is a nice solution as well :)
My favorite segment of every video "Counting with Eagleeye621"
i must give the people what they want :)
I wanna see what ever farm you’re interested in showing, honestly. I enjoy watching both kinds
thanks :)
"this video has all of the hits" respect, even some repeater setting with EagleEye621 for the piston extender
lol... glad someone picked up on that :)
Thank you for pointing out that you don't always need a huge industrial farm build, sometimes, all you need is the basics. This is great for a startup base, and especially nice for IBBBBBBBBIBI's.
thanks :)
It's always good to have a mixture of both survival and tech, alternating or changing it up between is always keeps me interested.
i will keep that in mind
I like seeing both small scale & industrial scale farms tbh. Small scale may end up in my world, large scale is useful to understand how bigger ones can be constructed to help me learn along my MC journey; thx for doing these bud.
thanks for the input :)
So good to see some of your personal early work
Considering where your builds are at these days, it's kinda endearing to look at humble beginnings
thanks :)
Thats quite neat design tbh, I'll probably scale it up a bit and build it in my hardcore world :)
i look forward to seeing some screenshots :)
@@EagleEye621 ofc. :P
i think that mob farms would be nice, especially ones that utilize a spawning sphere
on my list :)
I like seeing all farm sizes. There’s room for both depending on the needs of the player. Certain items I like using a lot so I need a large farm for and others I don’t use as much so I don’t need a giant farm to keep up
thanks for the input :)
@@EagleEye621 No problem. I know it doesn't give you any direction, but I do like seeing all different ones. They give me ideas too, even when the size isn't where I'd like it to be so anything helps
I like the smaller builds because most survival players won't build the big ones
thanks for the input
@@EagleEye621 btw nice video :)
I think smaller survival builds are more useful for most players, but the big industrial farms are fun. Maybe 2:1? 3:1?
thanks for the input :)
this came at the perfect time. i need tons of sugarcane for paper
happy to supply it :)
The Gigachad himself returns with yet another banger. This man don't miss.
lol... thanks :)
I am the 50th like on the vid! Cool farm. btw, I like the smaller farms better I think, like, huge farms have their place but there are so many vids about them and so little about these, the actual practical ones for a normal player
thanks for letting me know
I love counting and maths with EagleEye621!
lol
13:42 I felt it when he waved
lol
Definitely more of the smaller more efficient farms. There are a million UA-camrs out there doing industrial sized farms, and if you are doing those you are competing with the likes of ilmango and gnembon...no small feat. But even most smaller SMP servers can't use anything that big and the amount of effort you put into those farms doesn't justify what you get out of it. Sure, I can make a sugar cane farm that pumps out a million cane a day, but what am I going to do with it all? Spend 4 hours a day making paper trades for emeralds that eventually become so meaningless I use them for building beacon pyramids (seriously, I've got to that point before). Mega farms only make sense if you've got the population to use it.
that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the input :)
I like the smaller farms because they are simpler and I can build them unlike the industrial ones which I sometimes try and stop after seeing the materials list
thanks for letting me know :)
Can you please show me a way to transport villagers easily so that I could build an iron farm . Your design was the only one which worked . I tried using rails but I am short on iron . I don't like to mine becuz it's boring and half the times I get lost and blown up by a creeper
@@JustRelaxForMe was going to say you could build my iron farm to get the rails... but then i thought about it for another sec... lol ... you can build my rail duper for those rails though... or use a boat to move the villies
@@EagleEye621 I never thought about the rail duping method . Thanks 👍😀
First thing i want to say is Wow this guy is Genius
Secondly : Why am I not make this Earlier
lol
ah yes, another great hit by EagleEye621, love your vids man!
thanks :)
I don’t really know what to comment but I love that laser death ray, I used it in my smp my winter village with snowman instead of skeletons
lol... share some screenshots on the discord :)
Very cool
thanks :)
The easiest double piston ext actually is the two pistons with 2 observers above staring a redstone line at the back. The ext of the second is by qc. ;)
this was from before I was a youtuber... and while that is simple, two repeaters with some dust is still pretty simple :)
:)
I don't even do much redstone in MC. I just like your vids.
Thanks for letting me know that I AM cool enough.
you watch my videos... pretty sure that makes you POGGERS by definition :)
Hook up a powered rail to the observer that detects the suger cane growing, so the minecraft rarely gets triggered and only when theres items to collect
yeah, if you want to use the rail system that would be a good upgrade
@@EagleEye621 Both systems work good, but imo the one I mentioned looks a bit neater. Anyway thanks for another video, been a sub for a long time!

OH NO, you covered up the grass after the little demonstration at 9:26 but you didn't fill it you ABSOLUTE MONSTER, what kind of person would actually work with you for, say, your thumbnails and whatnot?!
actually came back to haunt me moments later... lol... and some POGGER for sure is prob doing my thumbs :P
Nice

Instead of leaves could I use string instead, I think it would look better than leaves.
anything that blocks the growth and is not moved by slime blocks... so... yes :)
Well well well... almost 50k subs eh
How many were they when I first came here? Nice, Guess all the "subscribe to eagleeye" name tags did their job well

EagleEye, can you make a video for bedrock edition veteran players who are new to Java edition? I want to play Java edition, but I don’t know much about the game.
what do you mean? all of my videos are for java.
Well yeah, it’s kind of a tutorial guide for bedrock players to learn about Java, but I don’t know really
@@gottalivehappy i have never played bedrock, so can't really say all the the important differences
@@gottalivehappy i played in bedrock for a long time then i got java edition. You’ll just get used to it and it depends wether you play 1.16 servers/worlds or 1.8 servers/worlds
You make a dark Oak tree farm
have not done one of those yet, but on my list :)
Could you make a modular efficient sugar can farm
does my flying machine version (linked) count?
@@EagleEye621 yeah I guess that could work but flying machines put out a lot more lag then I would like I was thinking more of a piston red stone farm like tango teks build
@@benbrady1552 have not tested... but I would guess the flashing redstone would prob be more lag than the flying machine... might be that the flying machine is putting out spikes since it makes a lot of items all at once while the redstone flashing is more spread out
@@EagleEye621 thanks for the feedback I will keep watching your vids and have a nice day
ha my first sugarcane farm involved long strips of dirt and water, and i just held down left click and ran down the rows
lol
I want to know why do you sound a lot different than 1 year ago? I mean you sound good and you sounded good but I just want to know?

What a waste of slime.
I think, that design is resource inefficient.
compared to the flying machine, sure, but it is compact, and slime really is not that hard to get
@@EagleEye621 slime is hard to get until you have slime farm. At least for me.
Row of pistons plus hopper minecart are far better.
@@user-uc2qy1ff2z check out my finding slime video, might change your mind :)
@@EagleEye621 I know how to find slime chunks.
But it still require construction of slime farm. Which is tedious because of large amount of excavations.
