Heavenly father, according to and in agreement with philippians 1:27-27 I ask to let not remain a bit of darkness in me. In the name and by the blood of Christ Jesus, at the foot of the cross at Calvary, amen and hallelujah! Thank you Abba Father. Annelies Bakker, the Netherlands.
This sermon speaks to me on so many levels. Repentance, priorities, faith, are all explained in this clip. To be a Christian is to constantly renounce fleshly desires and attitudes in favor of spiritual of desires. I am still human, but when there is a conflict my spiritual priorities take prominence over my fleshly ones. My former life holds no sway over me because I submit to my heavenly father and not to my earthly nature or pressures. The Christian life is actually liberating. I am no longer subjected to the fads, opinions, and pursuits of a world that rejects Christ. I am free from fear, free to love, free to give, free to be happy. I don't feel powerless, lost, or confused as long as I go to God in prayer through Jesus Christ and cast these temporary states on Him. Aretha Franklin'"s "What A Friend We Have in Jesus" explains this to me.
Jesus you need to make yourself known to us in such a way that we can esteem you worthy above all else. Please, amen.
